I would be willing to bet that they also had underlying medical problems, Yes some are going to get sick and die from it some will get maimed some will get better IT'S THE CHANCE YOU TAKE. I would just as soon NOT introduce anything unnatural into my body that I dont have to. That being said I had an addiction problem for 8 years but thinking changes when you get thru something like that.

I swear that I would have never gotten this flu if it wasn't for the problem I had over New Years. It's like my resistance is down.

I'm still over 100 even with the motrin. Tell her I said thanks.

It sounds silly but taking a bath does help relieve your fever symptoms for a while. Not hot water, and not cold. Just average warm water to help bring your core temp down. Also the wife said to try not to wear any more clothing than you would normally wear even though you may feel cold by adding layers your just retaining the heat your body is trying to shed. Hope you feel better theres nothing worse than a bad fever.

You guys ever hear the old saying "When it Rains, It Pours"... . I'm having one of those days. The '04. 5 needs batteries. They have been getting weak lately and these few days below 0 have finally killed them. The plow and spreader are on it at least, so if we get any more snow, someone else can just get in a plow... . if they can get it started.

On top of that, my dear wife took the 1/2 ton to work this morning since I wasn't going. She called a little while ago and said that the windshield got busted by a rock this morning. Safelight will be out in the morning to fix it, but now I have to find a way to get her to work in the morning since she doesn't like to drive the 6-speed. We have an old Cherokee here that runs well that she can take. But what are the chances that it will start in this weather... ... .

So sitting here with pants, 2 pair of socks, a long sleeve shirt and the heat up to 80 is probably a bad Idea?. .

I'll try the bath Idea when my wife gets home from work. I'm half afraid to be in there by myself as weak as I am right now.

I couldnt personally agree more, BIG. I have been blessed with a pretty aggressive immune system there may be days where I dont feel good but Its been over a decade since Ive been sick enough to go see a dr.

MIL is an amazing lady she endures Rheumatoid Arthritis and only takes some of her Herbal Things to get thru it, Yes she's tougher than nails and can stand the pain that sometimes she cringes with but she says it better than what some of the pills that the Dr gives you will do to your body.

The Wife was going thru the change of LIFE  She was worse that Linda Blair in the Exorcist  I had to go to the mountains to get any sleep. I would wake up and she would be looking at me with a PO look on her face, I would ask what??? HOW CAN YOU SLEEP when I feel like this (I have a weenier thats how) it was a MT winter and she was naked with the sliding glass door open you could see her breath in the air (thats why the refrence to the Exorcist) She jumped my butt about something when her parents were there they snatched her up took her off someplace all day came back she has a few bags of stuff that when she feel like LINDA'S coming back she brews a pot of tea and all is well. Herbs are some powerful stuff.

My wife had to have some female surgery last year that caused the change symptoms immediately. The first day in the hospital she was crying and screaming at you at the same time. At one point, they brought her lunch which she didn't want, and she decided to throw it all over me. The nurses put a little red tag outside her door that said "Emotional"... . LOL. It got better slowly over a few weeks and she is back to normal now.

Ya know IM GLAD to be a guy we work harder than our gals most of the time. (had to cover my A** on that one) and do almost all the physical stuff. BUT THEM GALS have a tough life if you think about it. They have some nasty guy wanting to climb on them ALL THE TIME(I dont smell that!!!! BAD) They feel like crap every 28 days for most of their life then when that I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER stops they feel worse for WHO KNOWS HOW LONG. so I can deal with it being my fault most of the time cause it is :D

I had the fever thing two weeks ago. Came on real quick at the office on a Wednesday afternoon. Was just super cold with a fever, body ache, and the head felt heavy . Tylonel would knock it off but only last a couple hours. then I'd be cold again. Slept for two days. By that Friday I was getting bored but still had a fever. That Saturday still had a fever through the afternoon but was up and around in the house.

My 6 year old had the same fever thing but it lasted a week, about drove momma insane:)

Well, it's only day one for me and I'm ready to jump out of my skin. I don't like this laying around. Supposedly, this Tamiflu that the Dr. gave me is supposed to shorten the length of the Flu. I guess we will see.

Different strain they tell me. The flu was bad but it took me a month to get over the chest congestion and coughing after the flu.

That may be why I wasn't down for very long, different strain. Now I have the cough and chest congestion. It sure doesn't make my engine change any easier, or faster. Luckily, the dispatcher hasn't called, but I think I'll decline any work until after the cough goes away and I'm sure the wife isn't sick.
