I've never read or heard of one.
The fact that Ram has selected the Aisin as transmission of choice behind the new Max Tow 30,000 lb. GCWR Ram dually with 800 ft. lb. engine is a pretty strong statement.
Thats the price I have to pay due to updated ECM when in regen, I already shift slow, these aren't race trucks. And I've heard the newer DD's are better, but need the holding power when climbing grades and regen pops its ugly head at the wrong time.I can say that when I installed the 3250 in my G56 in 2008 I really no longer liked how my truck drove, stiff pedal, annoyingly loud clutch and slow shifting. I've driven a newer street 3250 in a NV 4500 and it's much better so hopefully the newer clutches are better in the G56 then then the older ones. You will also get a lot of vibrations coming through the shifter with a solid flywheel.
I have seen some very rough trucks being used by people who do not take care of them. Held together by duct tape and bailing wire so maybe some of those failures being repoted are from that type userHey EB nice to hear from you again, I hope you didn't mind me using your name in an earlier post, about different transmissions. Member LNaugle made a statement about Aisin transmissions failing under Oil Field duty use, in either brand. (Sterling/Dodge) I was surprised to hear that and started this thread to see if there had been failures, but just not posted about, after all, there is not a lot of conversations on the C&C Forum.
