NO!! its not a Bull Wagon at least I dont think so :-laf

The muff is a small Donaldson its only 2ft long all the pipes are 5in I thought about 6in but think it would look funny (to big for the truck) Out of the muff it goes into some more 5in and into a Y out in front of the sleeper and behind the cab doors (duals) chrome elbows bring them up from under the truck body between the Peterbilt twin 90gal fuel tanks and dual step battery boxes with chrome stack mounts on the cab to hold the 5in stacks in place no heat shields on the stacks they are 98in long angle cut to get them up and away from smoking out the animals in the trailer.

Its not that loud from inside the cab! I thought it might be cause of the short muff but I guess that because its not a straight thru muff its not. Where we live its pretty quiet in the AM BIL lives next door (you cant see his place from ours) but I pulled it out on the Hwy and put my foot in it he was out having coffee on his deck, he said he could hear me and thought that who ever it was could really shift gears (its an automatic now) he said it wasn't to loud but he could definitely tell it was a truck!!! BIGGER THAN WAHT IT IS :-laf I turned the corner up his drive and pulled up in front of his house he stood there shaking his head your FRIGGING NUTS!!! BIG :-laf I think it will be a little deeper when I get a load on the motor to make it really work at the pull but will have to wait to see, if it is I have room under the truck to add a longer muff and just add the Y out the end of the muff instead of the 5in pipe and then the Y I hope its not a deep drone I like to talk to the wife and hear my music without all the base NOT ON THE MUSIC, AND OUT THE STACKS.

I have the proj in the camera Pard im sick as hell and find it to much to do much of anything now but hope to get the proj wound up before long so I can use the tractor for some upcoming work this summer building a home for son and a rebuild for daughters home so I have no choice but to get it done. I dont think that even the MIGHTY DODGE could pull some of the loads that will me needed.

Mike

You have some body and paint guys at work I have a post about paint, the truck needs to go in for a face lift. Ask them what they think about types of paint on the tractor please! as I have absolutely NO CLUE ABOUT PAINT TYPES.

I will as the day goes on. I know that paint is getting expensive along with the chemicals required for the job. Some of these truck paints top $800. 00 per GALLON.

I would appreciate it Mike, Ya I know about the price NOW!!!! paint is just not the kind at Home Cheap O. The shop that is doing the job has a pretty nice computer program they had me take a picture of it and they put it on their computer they can make color changes and two tone paint jobs on the screen. I was thinking of a two tone with the front fenders the cab top and the frame rail of the tow bed and fuel tank straps painted a Coco brown and the rest of the cab body a beige or lighter brown but the cost of the paint will put that idea in jeopardy.

Cab is in good shape??? Hood is good, no cracks??? Minimal prep work??

If the hood is shaky consider these guys. We sell as many of these as we do genuine hoods. Quality product.

Any Daimler dealer can order these, no freight charges. Price will be less than shown in the link.

Ya everything seems in real good shape the truck was in a Ryder fleet when I got it, I use to drop fuel at the place and just looking at something like it was. The shop foreman always brought out the Shaffers fuel additive and checked the stick readings and talked to me while fuel went in the ground. I asked about it he said that when it gets to an age and or mileage they sell it. I bought it took off the reefer box and eventually cut it down to a 2 axle from a 3 one was a tag??? WHY??? The truck never was out of the LA basin it mostly sat in a yard that they used it for a cold storage for the company that leased it from Ryder. So everything is in great shape except the paint took a beating in the hot sun in So Ca.

The consensus is DuPont Imron Elite where you will be keeping the truck. DuPont Imron 5000 and 6000 products are no longer available from what we understand.

The majority of the new trucks are panted with the Elite.

Because they are cheaper than a real truck:D Off highway they were worthless in the snow. Back in the old days, hay haulers used them on their old F600 Ford's and C60 Chevy's. After they were unloaded they wouldn't un-track from the stack, so the rancher would pull them to the main road with his tractor. Hauling hay has a cheap rate so more is better, somehow I know this for a fact:-laf

I understand the idea of the tag but WHO WOULD DO THAT? Before I cut it down I had a few embarrassing moments hung up in a drive of a fuel stop had to get out and make an adjustment to get the drive tires back on the ground. But I knew going in as soon as I got moved to MT that it would be cut down to a 2 axle tractor.
