BANKS cooler issue..

The new vettes are definitely a good example of an American super car, that wasn't always the case. My buddy used to own a mid 80s with a 350. It was all stock, but I could hang with him with my modded 280z at Nelsons ledges (a closed course track). It was pretty even low to mid range but that 280z made some serious rpms up on the top end and I could always out run him on the back stretch.

Top speed for a L-98 powered C4 Corvette is ~150 mph under perfect conditions.

Sounds about right, in factory form my 78 280 would flirt with 125-130 on a good day. With the mods I had to the car I was in the neighborhood of 225 HP. Doesnt sound like much but not too shabby for a well balanced car that weighed well under 3000 lbs. I had several muscle cars growing up but that 280 was one of the funner cars I've ever owned.

My truck was built more for towing, not speed. My last Dyno was an Edge EZ on 3, Water/Meth injection, 100hp injectors. 389hp, 892tq.

Now I have twins, 120 injectors, Edge Comp thrown into the mix. Best guess is that I am in the 500hp 1200tq range...I'd better be with the money I paid.

0-60 is nothing to brag about, probably 16 seconds or more. 50-80 however usually leaves everyone behind, especially if I am already holding 12psi of boost.

It's hard getting all that mass moving quickly, but once it's going watch out! Mine's all stock, and the 50-80 roll is real nice. Reminds me of the Charger R/T 440 I had. The real amazement is the pull down low, but that's not what this post is about.
