Thursday evening and still not fixed. Dropped truck off Wed morning and they called Wed afternoon & said they had to get a "part" from Ontario 55 miles away. They called at 4 pm today and said the "part" wasn't available til this afternoon and it was too late to work on it. I asked what the chances were of getting the truck fixed by Friday afternoon and was told "not looking good".
Unfortunately, I have a sinking feeling that this is going to be just another frustrating waste of time. Hugs, Di

Had to take my new 3500 to the dealer today for the "service tire pressure system" message that came up with a 100 miles on truck. At first he said they go to sleep and you have to over inflate them to wake them up then lower air pressure to where you want it. That didn't work {Lol!!!}. finally he called and said the tire must have had moisture in it, cause the sensor in tire looked like it froze and busted. Cant see moisture got in a positive pressure tire unless it was in there when they mounted tires from factory.

Compressed air has water and oil in it unless it is filtered and dried. Tires filled during the winter have a much greater chance of moisture in them over tires filled in the summer.

That is what the manual says the "service tire pressure system" message means. A sensor has gone bad, or is not reporting to the EVIC.

Now, if the sensors are all good, and still getting message, something else is bad.

Since dutch and di have had theirs in a number of times, I would assume the sensors were all checked out, and OK. So, their problem must lie elsewhere. EVIC bad, receiver bad, etc.

Waiting to have the shop find out what is wrong, and have them let us know.

It is not a tire with low pressure, as the 3500 system is entirely different than the 2500 system.

Yes, that is right the 2500 and 3500 are different. The guy at the dealer looked at me like I was stupid when I told him that.

Can someone with a 2013 or 2014 4x4 3500 please tell me the height above ground of the class V receiver hitch under the rear bumper (or tell me where I can find it)?

I'm not seeing it on the specs at ramtrucks.com.

I can only tell you this the 2013 3500 SRW with factory Tires/Wheels is 1.75" higher then 3gen 3500 SRW trucks Factory Tires/Wheels, the 2013-14 bed is 2.5" higher then 3gen 3500. 2003-14 DRW factory Tires/wheels are so close its within 1/2"

I need to find out if the shank I'm using with my current equalizer hitch setup is going to work with a 2013/2014 SRW 4x4 3500. My 2001 SRW 4x2 2500 sits quite low.

O... I doubt it will work on the 3500 SRW we are talking about 3"-3.75" higher then 2001 Factory to Factory.

Actually, I may get lucky with this...

The class IV receiver height on my current truck is about 18" when measured from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. According to the Equal-I-Zer website (the brand hitch I use), the standard shank I that have now can still be used to drop the hitch an additional 7" from where it is now by flipping it over. So as long as the inside top of the receiver tube on a 2013/2014 SRW 3500 4x4 isn't higher than 25", I should be good to go. Otherwise I'd need to invest in a new shank with even more drop.

If I can keep my current shank, then I'll need to use a adapter sleeve to go from the 2" class IV receiver on my current truck to the 2-1/2" class V receiver on a 3500.

Yea, they do, I found out the hard way by being a little too proactive and buying one while the truck was being built. The one that comes with the truck is a nice fit and finish one as well.
