Just a word to those with Jacobs e-brakes that are considering an AirDog Preporator. The Air Dog is designed to by-pass the stock filter cannister and connect directly to the injection pump... ... . BUT, the belt driven vacuum pump for the brake sits directly above the pump connection and there isn't enough clearence to connect to the pump. Oops !
I contacted TDR member Roger rodbolt and he told me that Eskam did make an adapter to route the fuel line through the stock filter. He gave me the name and # of the person at Eskam who could help me. Thanks Larry ! At Eskam, Kenny helped me, got the part on the Brown truck and I had it the next day Oo.
So if you have the Jacobs e-brake and go to order an AirDog don't forget to ASK for the fitting to run the fuel line through the filter.
As far as the Fuel Preporator goes, it is a nice unit. Well engineered and built, the kit is very complete and installation is simple. Oh yeah, customer service is top drawer also.
