The transmission has been flawless with 50K on the clock. I tow a combined 28K.
Make sure you keep the TH and EB on at all times.
In my opinion yes. It keeps the line pressures up and shift points up and will keep it from lugging. It makes the EB actually slow the vehicle down. With the TH off the EB is not doing much to slow you down. Your service brakes will last well over 100K if you keep them both on at all times.
Do you have a sense of what the MPG sacrifice is?
