I was a Ben Moore, Muralo, Coronado dealer before we moved West.Ahhh, another painter. They are everywhere!!!!
She says the proper way to do that ceiling is with staging, then you roll it in two directions.
That was her method on the last cathedral ceiling and it came out perfectly.
Hi. This is Mikes wife here, how cold is it in Montana about Nov 1st? I love to fly. I keep telling Mike I am planning on turning into a traveling painter. Had a couple chances last year, but our little dog prevented me from doing so. Your home is beautiful! I agree you need to keep the white ceilings. That's such an important visual to your room. I really love Ben Moore Muresco ceiling white it has minimum splatter and great coverage. It also is a true white in color. Makes your ceiling look soft. For your walls I would recommend Ben Moore Regal Eggshell it has a little bit more sheen than the cashmere finish. And I don't mean shine, just a tiny bit more washable/wearable. One color paint I would recommend is Sherwin Williams Jersey Cream (SW7004) would look great with your wood trim, and stone work. Have use this color many times, and every time my customers have been pleased. It's a color that warms up a room, without taking over. The Ben Moore is pretty true coverage square footage, so the easiest way to calculate is to measure each wall. The front wall you can pretty much look at it, and decide if you think it's 2/3rds windows. Multiply height by length, then devide by that. Hope any of this is helpful. If you have questions let me know. Sandy
She did not give you a coverage figure as it varies depending the finish. For example the ceiling paint covers 400 to 450 sq ft per gallon. The eggshell finish is 400 to 450 as well depending on the nap of the roller.
She would advise a 3/8 nap roller on both the ceiling and walls. Will help hide any imperfections and gives a great finish.
Geeezzz Mike clear some PM space will Ya!!! :-laf

Mike is there a name brand of roller your wife would recommend? and a type and brand of brush to cut in around the woodwork and corners. We went down and picked up the paint as per her suggestion it will look very nice. Ben Moore Muresco ceiling white & Sherwin Williams Jersey Cream.
BIG went and picked up some scaffolding for us to work on for the high places. He is going to guide hunters for about a month so while he's gone my Sisters and I get to do the painting. I knew!! that somehow he would find a way to sneak out and not have to do it.:-laf
Personally I just as soon have him gone, rather than hear him P*** and Moan about having to paint, its one thing that he truly hates.
Thank You
Penny
