New 2015 ordered rear diff

Hi i ordered a 2015 ram 3500 crew cab with the Aisin high output . The build sheet said that it has a 11.8 / 300mm rear end does that mean it has the aluminum rear end cover. Thank for your info guys. Also first ram ever always been a gm guy got sick of there BS

Yes it does. You will love the new truck, especially if you are going to use it to pull heavy weights.

Thanks for the warm welcome happy to be part of the ram family. Happy to hear it has the aluminum cover I was worried about that. Ram for some reason they don't have 2015 trucks on there website . It has 3.42 rearend

You can't get 3.73 and didn't want 4.10s,

Yes they did. They contact me yesterday and told me it should be in Massachusetts on 10/10 . I contacted ram about not receivin email on the status and they said there system is down.

Did you get a SRW Truck or DRW? Sounds like SRW.

This must be a change for the 2015 MY. In 2014, all 3500 SRW's, regardless of transmission, received the 11.5" AAM.

I think the larger rear diff comes with the new 865 Torgue/Aisin combination. Snoking

Perhaps.....but for 2013 & 2014 MY, the 11.8" was only available on the DRW w/Aisin.

The only axle ratio available on the 2013 & newer 2500's and 3500 SRW's is 3.42...........

That's the only thing I didn't like about ordering the truck there was no option for the 11.8 rearend you would assume a 3500 would would have that especially with the Aisin very disappointed on that. Still very excited on getting the truck.

I'm confused..........you said in post #1 that your build sheet stated it had the 11.8???????

The fact that a SRW and 3.42 gearing......in all honesty.....doesn't warrant the larger 11.8". The 11.5" with SRW and 3.42 is more than enough.

SOOOOO, does the 2015' Ram 3500 SRW actually come with the 11.8" or the 11.5" rear end? I know that the 3:42 is only gearing offered in the 3500 SRW truck, but am curious as to if Ram is now offering the 11.8" rear end now with 15' 3500 SRW? Would be cool if they did, though as Greg mentioned, not really needed.
