Help- Pictures needed of 8.4an screen Laramine/Laramie Longhorn w/Remote Start

I have been dealing with 8.4AN issues almost ever since purchasing my new truck and would like to see how others unit look.
Most recent and re-occuring issue is the Heated and Ventilated Seats.
"For vehicles equipped with Heated and Ventilated Seats and REMOTE START. The seats can be programmed thru the 8.4 to come on automatically during a remote start. "
This information is in the new 802 page 2014 Ram 1500/2500/3500 Owners Manual that was just mailed to me last week by RAM customer service. It is on page 152-154.
RAM Customer Service also sent me an updated 384 page UCONNECT 8.4 AN Owners Manual and low and behold on page 276 it clearly states the same thing! When I purchased the truck, the functions were there. The dealership performed software updates while it was there for the vibration issues and the settings have been gone ever since.

Truck has been back to the dealership for multiple software updates. Star Technical had the dealership replace the Heated Seat Module.. I have no clue why and neither does the dealer. Of course that did not fix it.
Suddenly the dealer calls and says they checked other trucks on the lot and they appear the same as mine. So, they are trying to say thats how its suppose to be. Star Technical is saying the same thing.
For those of you who have Factory Remote Start and Heated/Ventilated Seats, Can you please check your 8.4AN and determine if you have the ability to set your seat functions to come on automatically upon startup?
Is should be located in, SETTINGS, AUTO-ON Comfort and REMOTE START.
Once you select that you should see the line for HEATED STEERING WHEEL, the next 4 lines uder that whould be the heated seat(driver), heated seat(passenger) ventialted seat(driver, and ventilated seat(passenger)
Mine currently has the HEATED STEERING WHEEL only, although the next 4 lines are allocated to the screen, just have no text in them.

Just set manually before shut off and they will come on when you remote start. Or continue screwing with the dealer.

The newest software update (14...) took that option away. You need to go back to verions 13...

Let hope they fix that in a new software update.

Thats what I keep telling the dealership. That it WAS there before they started updating software to fix other issues. Just hoping to find photo proof to confirm that Im not imagining it.

Just checked mine and mine is the same way. I remember distinctly having the uption for the seats. Had a software update early this year and now mine too is gone.
It's not a huge deal, because mine still come on automatically, but it's aggravating to know I had the option in there and now I don't.

Here it is......can't say if it has always been this way, never used it. My truck has been at the dealer for a few days and has all the updates done.

Yep, thats how mine looks. There is no way to set the AUTO ON DRIVER HEATED/VENTILATED SEAT functions!
As you can see from the picture, the lines are still there just no text in them.
The most recent software update has completely disabled them as far as starting up on their own. The previous software seemed to cause the seats to come on randomly on their own although the settings were not in it either. That software caused the SD card to fail to initialize on startup though, hence the most recent update.
To me, it IS a big deal. I paid for this option. Its in the most recent Owners manual that it SHOULD be there. Its also in the most recent Uconnect manual that it SHOULD be there.

Those lines are just the standard template for the screens, I dont think they are "place holders" with missing text. Other screens have the blank rows if you go digging through the other screens. As far as I know/experienced the steering wheel is the only option. The others are dependent on if they were on or off when you shut your truck down. However my truck has a bug, it always turns the vent or heated seats on in low when I shut down with them on high... although this could be an intentional safety feature. Its annoying because I like my vent seats on high, before when they didnt come on I just had to hit the button once, not they come on in low and i have to hit it twice.

They are according to the engineer I spoke with today. It seems that in their haste to get software pushed out from uconnect for other issues they have omitted the vehicles with heated/ventilated seats and remote start. Apparently its crossing vehicle lines as well since they are getting similar reports on the new Durangos.
PM, If yours is doing that, do you have the most current software update or the previous update? Sounds like the previous update cause mine would randomly turn on the seat on LO, but nothing else. Do you mind checking your software?

FWIW< if you call customer service they will send you a HUGE stack of new updated owners manuals that are much more informative than what came with the truck.

Mine looks like yours, and on mine, if you push the heated steering wheel option it will check the box, and about 20 seconds later it will un check itself.!

Mine does the same thing......I have done the latest update on the nav unit....#14-25-05

Mine is the same. Picked the truck up in December and no updates have been done. These things must be running Winders 95!

My 13 ,Sat it was 85* the vented seats button was blue with remote start, this morning its 41* the red heated button was on after remote start. latest software....8.4

I just did an update a month or so ago... I think I have the latest. I need an oil/fuel filter change next week so I will have the dealer verify.
