Welcome JenDRoss!!!

Now if someone would manufacture 2nd and 3rd Gen Bracket Kits for the Knoedler seats.......(Hint, Hint, Hint).........:D

Mike.

Thanks for the welcome, Mike! I'm in Maine too!

Yes, a frequent request to Knoedler...and just had a discussion with Superior Seating about the same thing. Manufacturers are hesitant to make an official "it will fit" statement after being burned a few times, especially in the 2001-2002 years where seat belts where integrated into the seat (you are pretty much out of luck if you are trying to replace those seats). For other years, there are solutions out there if you are willing to take the time to measure and work with an installer/fabricator is needed.

Many people I talk to are happy with upgrading the upper and leaving the base alone. There are nice options for that.

We use Seats Inc. for our aftermarket big truck seating. They will not go near the small truck / pick-up market for liability reasons. I keep asking......

Mike, do you ever have the need for something different other than Seats Inc? Would love to talk to you, if you do!

Send me an e-mail when you get a chance. Glad to have a look.

I "Think" it is far easier to bring stuff in from Canada than the other way. That is only about 4 hours from me, I wouid go pick them up.

We have a dealership in Houlton, Maine that is right on the NB border. We send a parts runner over there to the NB Freightliner and Navistar dealers for out of stock parts when it is faster than any method at my disposal for a unit down customer that has to get back on the road right now. Very easy to bring parts in, a small fee applies. I'm thinking these seats would be about the same. If I make a deal I will contact US Customs for the skinny.

Just can't enter if you have a DUI on your record.

We cross the border a lot up here.

I've got a question to this.
Next year I'm in the US and Canada with my Dodge.
So - is there one ore some dealers around that have this seats IN STOCK so I could buy it, fix it right on site, pay it and leave?

We arrive at Halifax, cross Canada up to Alaska, down to California and then across th US back to Halifax.

Do you have an idea of which seats you would be interested in? National Seats make direct bolt in kits for 2003-2006 Dodges. They also have a console kit(not sure what that is?)

These guys have a lot in stock. I don't know of any shop that has Knoedler seats in stock. AFAIK, they're custom built once the customer places an order, and then shipped from their factory from St. Hubert, Quebec. I'm not sure what the lead time is on these. However, be aware that these seats are not direct bolt in. However it should be a piece of cake for a custom upholstery shop to custom fit these. I haven't priced the Knoedler yet, but I believe they're more expensive than the National Seats, how ever I heard that they're excellent seats.

Also check out the link in JenDRoss' post. I've heard of them before and they seem to have a good selection.

I can't really help you as far as installation shops go. I would guess California would be a good place as it's known as the custom car capital of the world. Hopefully other knowledgeable members will chime in with recommendations. You could also ask the supplier if they install what they sell? If not they should be able to recommend some good shops, especially they're high volume customers.

On the plus side, you've got time on your side and hopefully with some planning you should be able to get exactly what you want.

Ozy,

Check around, see what Jen has as well.

I will make the offer to order them for you in advance, hold them here and allow you to change them here on site or at my home..(You seem to know your way around a wrench).... I would suggest that you loop down from Halifax at the beginning of your trip and change them here before going cross country. This dealership is located in Bangor, Maine if you would like to Google Map it.

I'll do anything possible to help....that sounds like quite a trip for you!!!!

Hi Ozy,

Here is a link to the Extreme Lowrider from Knoedler (with pricing): http://www.seat-specialists.com/products/knoedler-extreme-lowrider.html. It will give you a good idea of the options. These seats could be picked up right at Knoedler's factory in St. Hubert, Canada if you order them in advance (give 3 weeks for production) through us.

As mentioned by others, the Extreme Lowrider is NOT a direct bolt it so there will be some installation work. But you can integrate the compressor so that all you will need is a 12v hook up and the actual mounting work done.

I would be happy to inquire from Knoedler a recommended installer in their area. St. Hubert is near Montreal.

Feel free to message me with any questions you have about the seats (Knoedler or other brands).

Thanks,
Jen

Boah, they are quite expensive....

The other question is, I've Onboard Air in my RAM already installed, so I wouldn't need the compressor in every seat, not in the national and not in the Knoedler, how much would this lower the price of of both variants.

My tummy tends to Knoedler but my head says go National... which way to go.

From my sight is the Knoedler playing in the upper class were the National is in the medium Range -am I right??????

But if I see that right that you Mike uses this seats http://www.suburbanseats.com/p/national-brown-tan-leather-pair-dodge-pick-up-truck-seat and this seems to me also a very interesting offer in price.

Well I love my 04 but the seats suck... I wish I could meet the dumb *** who decided these where ok to put in these trucks.. Love to give a free black eye. Anyway I have ben researching all options extensively. I drove two hrs to look at Recaro seats and another hour to look at a SRT10 truck. Well I found and bought a complete SRT10 quad set of seats. They are comfortable and I will now have leather interior. When I get them installed I will post some pics. I think its the best option and they should bolt right in.

Ozy,

I refrain from selling on this forum and try to simply advise. But in your case the circumstances are a little unusual. I will throw together a quote for you without a compressor. I will try to find the link to the national site later today or tomorrow. I have it in my favorites on my work computer.
