tow mirror leds

how hard is it to replace the leds in the tow mirrors.i have one out on each mirror.on ebay there is a r+l led assembly.woundering how hard it is to get to the assembly and how to remove the mirror glass to get to the led assembly? thanks in advance

I had saved this because it seemed like something I should know

To add to that the turn signal in my drivers mirror was out. Since it was a warranty item I jokingly told the dealer it would be better if they broke the mirror instead of me doing. Sure enough, they managed to crack the convex mirror last Monday. Still waiitng on the replacement.
The LED failure must be pretty common.

Funny thing is......I swapped my black Tow Mirrors straight up to a guy in PA for his chrome Tow Mirrors.......off of a Laramie MegaCab. :-laf

I had my truck in 2 weeks ago for a few issues one being the passenger side mirror led blinker light pod. The dealer scratched the black housing and had to order me a new mirror. I am dropping the truck off again tomorrow to have the mirror replaced along with the leaking transmission that they claimed to have fixed.

Dealer installed the replacement for the convex mirror that they had broken. Took about 5 minutes.

I've added the tow mirrors to my truck (stock power headed) I removed the door panel and hooked up the wiring and I dont get any turn signals or "puddle" lights? Do i have to enable something on the onboard computer or do you all think they were shipped with out LED bulbs?
