I'm, I'm, I'm clear now, but I will research it anyway. As I found out, ATF+ for my G56 required by Dodge is a lot lighter than the Mercedes requirement, and the blend that CKelly1 uses has proven to be a good replacement that I'm currently using now. I will probably go with the recommendation that Blumenthal recommends, and to be clear about this, I don't know what that is!
I used our 05 with NV-5600 much like you are talking about and had great results with AMSOIL Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid and I overfilled it through the shifter with the boot removed as per Standard Transmission. Shifted great!Reviving this older thread. I now use my truck almost only for pulling our camper at max weight in the hot NM summer, and am starting to prep it for this year's use. That said, I want to use the best trans oil for those conditions. I've added trans coolers (with finned aluminum end plates) to both sides. What oil have others had success with who use their truck similarly?
Thanks,
Steve
