Two speed sensors?

Does my 2007 5.9L truck have two speed sensors?

There is one in the transmission, and there seems to be one on the differential....

Does the one in the transmission only control the transmission shifting, or does it also provide input to my gauges?

If the rear Sensor fails then the one at the Box is his Backup.

The output shaft speed sesnor on the OD housing is only to enhance shifting, it doesn't even control it.

Speedo is driven solely off the ABS sensro on the rear diff.

Are you sure? Iirc when the rear ABS sensor went out on my 05 the speedo still worked.

Pretty sure it is multi-function sensor. Part is the ABS signal and part is the speedo signal. You can have a bad ABS signal and the speedo signal is still good, and the opposite also.
