I'm a manufacturers rep, and my territory is all of AZ plus So Nevada, so there are lots of mountains and wide open spaces.
Trip to Vegas from Phoenix via Lake Havasu got me 26.7mpg, at 5mph over the posted speed limits (70-80mph). Combined with three days of city stop and go, with plenty of sitting in the parking lot engine running while making calls or responding to email, I still got almost 25mpg. I think I'll be able to average over 24mpg.
I know the big cummins motors get better with breakin, but is there any real evidence that these small high efficiency engines will do the same?
Are we Talking 1500 Eco Diesel or Ram 2500 or 3500 ? There is No way in the World that a 2500 or even a 3500 get's 24 mpg Unless it's down hill with a 90 MPH Wind
