I did order the air ride. I haul an Arctic Fox 1150 as well as the 5th wheel. Just not at the same time. Wife and I would like to upgrade to a Host Mammoth camper at some point.

So the bags would be handy for both.

You will like the option. I leave mine in ALT ride height truck sits near level loaded or un loaded.

There is standard mode that I never use it has the rear about 1" higher than in the pics. Towing mode and alignment mode. I just leave it in ALT trailer mode as shown above. I am very impressed with the rear air ride. 9,580# sitting on the rear tires in pic!

Sweet. I have a heavy slide in camper that I use a lot. That was the main reason for getting the air suspension. My 5th wheel is not that heavy, but you never know when we might get a bigger one. Right now we are considering an order for a new Host slide in with 3 slide outs. I think it will be heavier than the current camper but not by a lot. It's hard to get accurate weights from the MFG. I would also be towing a jeep 4 wheels down behind it. That does not add a lot of weight. Super hitch, etc. I want to add a bigger fuel tank underneath so I can use it with either the slide in or 5th wheel.
It looks like the axles are rated for 6k up front and 9750 in the back. 14K GVW, I like that. Looking at backstop bumper and winch combos also. Nice but expensive. Anyone have one?
I just saw the 9500lbs sitting on your truck, that is one huge heavy 5th wheel. I like it!

That's sounds right to me. Remember MY 2007.5 to 2012 are pre DEF and have a bit of a rep for emission problems and poor fuel economy. This hurts resale. IE my 2005 Ram 2500 got me $27575 against a new 2013 Ram 250 Outdoorsman at 45K in the fall of 2013. That was for an immaculate low miles one owner 9 year old truck. 3rd gens are desirable for lack of DPF emissions (higher resale). It is important to realize that resale is not necessarily a reflection of the vehicle itself. It is the perception and popularity. A VW TDI certainly had a higher resale value before the scandal. If you can bail at that price and move up you will be ahead in the long run.

You're not kidding about the 3rd Gens and the pricing. Trucks with 100K or less are pulling $35K + here in Ca. I've seen one as high as $42K.

That is interesting. I never had an issue with my 2011. I never even saw a message in my evic or elsewhere about any filters or anything. But when they want to give me that kind of cash, I'm ordering a new one…………………Now I wait.

I bought my '98 12.5 year ago with 100,000 miles on it. Being 2wd and being in "used" condition I got it for $15,000. I drove it for 10.5 years and added another 150,000 miles. It was a bit rougher but still very serviceable. I sold it for $6,000. Can't beat a vehicle for less than $1,000 a year. I think the only non-wearable service was a new steering gear and lift pump and I think you can even consider those wearable items. I was sad to see her go but my new truck is SOOOOO incredible.

If my buyback goes through as advertised within the next two weeks, that is what my 2012 will have cost me, 1K'yr to own...

Recieved a VM from the independent rep here in Vegas. Said he has all the paperwork ready and wants to set a time to meet.

Of course I just started 6 days in a row of work...Also, I need to pull off my running boards and Max Brake.

The deal went down today. Took all of about 15 minutes. They gave me exactly what they quoted at the beginning of DEC..

Now I am truckless! Waiting for the new one to get in.

Well, it finally happened. I got my check today for the correct amount. NADA plus 10% about 4k less than I paid for it 4.5 years ago. The 2016 I want came in on friday, got to drive it today. Awesome. It was a long drawn out process but it was worth it. The dealership is fixing all 3 of the recalls and then FC will flat bed it to the auction and sell it. Someone is going to get a very nice 2011 Longhorn.
