My incredibly horrible out of state truck purchase

Well I agree that if TDR had a separate humor forum I would have posted it there, but AFAICT, it DID really happen and that Ford would def win truck trend "shoot out"..LOL

The previous owner lives and has his business south of Houston and is suing Auto Nation for not removing his company logos from the door(they agreed to upon sale). He now arms himself and has lost lots of customers from this debacle.

I know that this sucks and I feel bad for him, his family and his business.

However he should have de-identified the vehicle before trading it in. Bet he never does that again.

Look at Ryder, Penske, Wal-Mart and many others. They don't sell or trade stuff with identification still on it. If a company goes out of business then some will get loose with company info still showing but it's kind of irrelevant at that point.

The really scary part in the extremely stupid people in this country that reacted to his business the way they did. The whole manage by fear thing is way out of control right here in America!

That's true. Some jack wad dealer forgets to take the decals off and all hell breaks loose.

Like the guy shipped ISIS the truck for goodness sake........with his name still on the side...

I kinda blame the poor guy for not following through. He started scraping and the dealer stopped him. Shoulda got a promise in writing.

I learned my lesson about adding company logo's to vehicles when I was shoeing horses for a living. I had my insignia, name and business number on my trailer.

I accidentally cut someone off one day, and this dude was able to track down my house somehow. He had the huevo's to knock on my door a few days later. Talk about being surprised. I removed decals that night.
