ok, now I'm being a jerk....you're a drama queen.

well since I am NOT am expert on lights and have NOT looked that close at my OEM lights
MY answer is a correct answer
I do NOT know exactly what one's I have

You were quite certain, telling me clear lights are not fogs, I explained that is not the case. It appears this is where you got offended/butt hurt.

not sure HOW my answer offends you

Where in the world would you get that from? You, apparently, are the one getting offended based on your many diatribes.

as MAYBE if you offered advice on HOW to tell what lights I have , rather than being a snob about what YOU KNOW about light!

You were quite certain what you had, you even said your build sheet said "driving lights", why would I have to help you figure it out? you were certain and supposedly had documentation to prove it (apparantely, not the case?). Reread this thread and see if you feel I did anything more than point out you were incorrect about what a fog light is.

If you react this way every time you learn you might be incorrect, life must be hard for you.

"It's not what you don't know that gets you in trouble, it's what you do know, that ain't so".

correct me if I am WRONG, but NO where in MY tread did I ask for help on fog lights!
After it was said that my wording was incorrect, and I then POINTED OUT I am looking for the LIGHTS in my Bumber

that should have ENDED the issue about fog lights
NO where did I say fogs lights CANNOT COME IN WHITE
I stated most TRUE fog lights tend to be YELLOW In color
which GOT us off subject

SO< what it seems you took on the task of is just pointing out things, and NOT offering any help to my tread!
if you feel so strongly about correcting every tread and work in them, feel free
SO,
maybe again you should re read all MY post in MY tread
as from post number 7 on, I clearly stated what lights I am looking to upgrade, and again never asked about fog lights
even if you and everyone else whats to call them fog lights, and me being the odd able and incorrect ??

I still simply asked if there are better offerings

and all you felt the need to do was keep pointing out other issue's from YOUR point of view
and yes in MY view your being a jerk, and NOT adding anything good to the tread
why waste your time replying??
unless you feel the need to again hear your words and makes you feel better ??

and your skills of offering help here have been spot on! LOL

I offered to lets move past the error on calling what what
but you failed to do so!, rather just stick on this back and forth????

SO?

I don't think anyone won here>
I did get a few good options on things to try, look into!
SO, a win?
to some degree there YES
but between me and you??
NO, NO, no win there!

I put the PIAA 9005 Extreme White Plus Halogen bulbs into my bumper "FOG" lights and find that they fill the lower spectrum of light needed on the road and into the ditches almost 90* from the front of the truck. Makes a HUGE difference over the 9145 stock bulb.
Running the Fog lights in conjunction with the Projectors makes regular night driving a lot better. I now don't feel the need to replace my Projector bulbs. Cost me $90 CAD. I can't comment on how they will be in fog or rain conditions as I haven't been in them yet.

I also just replaced my stock bright bulbs with the same PIAA 9005 Extreme White Plus Halogen bulbs and it made a noticeable difference with the whiter light of these bulbs. The stock bulbs had a yellower tint that somewhat dissipated into the surroundings. Good distance and on tree lined roads they well lit everything overall.

I'm back to liking the night time driving in my truck.

For what it's worth. I recommend changing out the bumper Fog lights and the Brights with these bulbs.

I swapped out my "fog" lights for the Rigid Industries SAE approved fog light kits. They make the brackets that allow you to put 2 lights in each side. All I can offer is that it is like day and night in difference, the best upgrade I've ever done. I utilized the relays provided by Rigid to be activated by the original harness. No codes, just great light dispersion and a tremendous improvement. Ain't cheap, but well worth the money. You'll need a bracket kit and 2 light kits to complete the job. My 2 cents worth.

Also, I've installed a Rigid 20 inch combo light in the lower grill opening. It lights up the roadway, allowing my old eyes to see better on the unlit country roads I burn up when upstate NY.
My 2006 has a 50 inch light bar on the headache rack, did anyone say daylight?

Les, good luck, like Silver Stars, reviews state short life. I gave up on Silver Stars because on short life and installed a Wagner bulb from NAPA and they lasted forever. Snoking

The Phillips XtremePower have also lasted a LONG time in my truck.

I liked them so much that I now utilize them in all my vehicles.

thanks guys
over the yrs I have had good luck with the PIAA"S
however never really kept a truck more than 2-3 yrs
but they were a nice upgrade
I didn't know if they made just a bulb for the fog?bumper lights or not
so thanks for letting me know

I am sure the two LED set up is better, I just don't care for the looks as much

the costs doesn't bother me, as I tend to find good things have price tags that show !

the old Piaa lights I used to swap into my bumpers on older trucks were about 400-500, but well worth the costs when traveling at night, which I alwasy preferred when traveling, would drive from 7 pm till 7-8 am , to avoid traffic, and the better lights always earned there keep, on being able to see junk in the road and avoid it, or them deer at times!

The PIAA 9145 (H10) bulb uses 45 watts power for 60 watts of light.

I used the PIAA 9005 bulbs in my fogs which uses 60 watts power to produce 120 watts of light. I preferred these.

Both sets of bulbs are about $50-$60 USD each.

You can also get the CREE LED 9005 style bulb and use it in both high beam and the light housings in the bumper. Will give you a white light that is very clean and bright.

They don't fit the 2015 Ram 3500 light housing. On the Ram's the one of the 3 tongue slots is slightly offset. I tried my damndest to get it to fit short of grinding one of the tongues on the bulb. At $300 for the set, I wasn't going to take a chance on it not working!

I am in the process of adding the factory "lights in the bumper" using stock parts. Just waiting on the last bit of wiring harness.

And mine will be yellow :D

OK I am sure I am missing it
BUT does anyone make a drop in replacement upgrade for the driving lights
or a better bulb
I am NOT looking to do double led or the likes
I want to keep it as factory as possible
just want brighter driving lights if possible
I have used PIAA lights in the past that fit almost exactly like the OEM lights did, and were a HUGE upgrade over OEM lights there

SO< any recommendations
a 2016-2500

XtemeVision line of halogen bulbs - I repalced the headlight and driving light bulbs with them and it great , also bought a $ 40.00 kit on ebay and it worked great , it lets you keep the driving light on when you have high beams on , what a big difference.

would you have any more info on the kt that lets you run the fog/driving lights with your HI beams?

I have also heard there are kits that let you run ALL lights when HI beams are on
anyone have that??
