Took a look at the Cummins in the Nissan Titan today. Interesting set up with the dual turbos.
The truck seems heavy though weighing in with its Aisin transmission just 350 lbs shy of my 2500.
Pulls 4500 lbs less than my derated g56 cummins.
Lists as a half ton, but has a neo HD frame and powertrain. If loaded to the max, it doesn't have the fuel economy you would expect.
I think the V8 cummins like othet V8 diesels has too much weight vs it's power & torque.
I really prefer the I6 design over every V8 diesel I have seen.
No exhaust brake which really makes it undesirable as a towing truck IMHO.
The sticker price ran only 10k-15k less than a similarly equipped true HD truck. I think the price might make it less populsr than the optimistic Nissan folks.
