Tool box time!

Thank goodness. Now I can get some money back for the cheap Chinese wire brushes I buy there.

I've often wondered how they could advertise like that. Sometimes I'll see an item on the front page that claims it's on sale, and then a few pages back, it's the same item for a different price.

I have seen a lot of HF ads and it seems like they have...their regular price / their coupon sale price /and their 20% off 1 single item coupon, which brings the regular price down to their coupon sale price.
Their stuff suffices for me for a specific tool I would like to have for a project, but am not going to use everyday. Beats paying top dollar for a brand name tool that you will use once maybe twice.

Wow. Always leery about the ads. The tools themselves? Most of the guys I work with, and I'm guilty too, flog this stuff bad. It holds up pretty well. No wonder why Craftsman is hurting.*

I read an article last week about Sears/Kmart. Pretty bleak future for them. I wonder what company will buy the Crapsman brand after Sears goes belly up? I've been replacing my newer Crapsman with Proto US made

Yes, I recall a story like this. Not sure if it was consummated.*
I've always liked SK and I found a source at Tooltopia.com.*

I forwarded this to a coworker who LOVES his tools and drops real coin at HF. He replied that's he's now RICH!!*

Howdy,

New guy here, first post.

Anyway, I heard a rumor that all of Harbor Freight's tools are machined out of an alloy called Chinesium.

Wonderful. The courts have*managed to beat this outfit into submission over some $2 tools. However we can't do anything about all the false claims every car dealer in the country makes about $50K vehicles prices on *a daily basis. " we guarantee the lowest price" " we won't be undersold" etc. Real tough guys these lawyers and judges.

You may want to retract your sarcasm. Sears sold craftsman tools to Black and Decker in Jan 2017 for $900M. They retain the right to sell them in Sears for the next 15 years without paying any royalties. The company has been in decline for years and has lost money for the last several. It's a failure of management to keep up with marketing and sales trends. Too bad. I grew up anticipating the next trip to Sears almost like going to the fair.
