Even if it was possible to get to the bolts before, that mod makes the project so much easier the factory should see it.

Beautiful work!this is what I did. I took a one inch strip 13 inches long out of crossmember
Thanks Greg good information. I did my first filter change on the Aisin today at just over 62000 miles. Although I had followed along as this thread progressed, I wish I had looked at this thread again and bought some of the spray adhesive you used, it was tough getting the gasket in place and putting the bolts in with nothing holding it in place. I measured 8 quarts removed, but darkness prevented my finishing tonight.
Hi Larry,I did my first filter change on the Aisin today at just over 62000 miles.
Using the spray adhesive has not been an issue....at least through 290k miles :-lafPersonally, I would not risk getting any kind of glue/adhesive in the transmission. Sounds like a bad idea using that to hold the gasket in place.
Did you get any codes after sump filter R&R?
Hi Larry,
Please let us know how difficult is was (or wasn't) getting at those rear pan bolts. What tools did you use?
Best regards,
John
I just dumped the pan again and re filled with 8 quarts at the 45K mark. Did so also at 30K.. Next spring I will be doing the mod.
Would the above be considered a "partial" fluid change? :-lafI just dumped the pan again and re filled with 8 quarts at the 45K mark. Did so also at 30K.. Next spring I will be doing the mod.
