Let's just go with "Probably not that you'll be able to quantify" in your particular case.

With that said, I'm pretty sure in the past you've stated that others are wasting their money on synthetics, not just you. This implies you are ill-informed about synthetics.[/QUOTE

If I did it was meant under the same circumstances as mine , and if misunderstood, that WAS my intention .

I will say I could care less though what you or others do ,my intentions was to have you experts explain My benefit . So after all this finally and I quote " Probably not that I could quantify "
This is something I knew but wanted to see if I missed something.

Hate to disappoint you but I am not illinformed about synthetic oil. Big reason I haven't bought into synthetics. Waste of money for ME and IMO many others under the same circumstances. I've heard peace of mind , reality works better for me

If you're really hard up for money after spending $60k for the truck you can purchase the same Fleetgaurd 16035 filter on Amazon and have it the next day with free shipping if you're a prime member.
However you would be missing the opportunity to support the excellent team at Geno's!
So, just buy them 6 at a time as Jim does and sleep at night knowing you've installed the very best filter.
By the way I have 1.65 million miles on Cummins engines with not a single engine failure, I attribute that to Fleetgaurd filters and Shell Rotella oil always changed at regular intervals a bit shorter than FCI recommends. Oil and filters are cheap, engine
are not!!

This brand (kendall/Phillips 66/76) doesn't sell a full synthetic. They could and charge $10/gallon more.

But since their syn blend is about as good as most full syns, they don't use the marketing ploy of making a more expensive oil.

It is used widely by fleets of big rigs and construction equipment

funny how many people get an erection about certain oil filters and how little real information there is about them. know plenty of people who use Fram and other cheap filters with good results and plenty of people who pay top shelf prices and get the same results

for anybody concerned, all of these oils are on Cummins Oil Registration list for the latest greatest CK4 rated CES 20086 approved motor oils.

There is not much difference in oil. But there are differences in filters.

I have 2 filters on my truck. Not at all do I think I have wasted money on replacing 2 filters instead of one.

Amsoil bypass filter running parallel to a stock full flow filter.

30 micron filtration is quite a bit different than 2-15 micron filtration to an engineer

one micron is .0000393". . 30 microns is .001179". average clearance in a bearing is .002 to .004". to my estimation, 30 microns would pass right thru anythign that mattered.. I'm a mechanic. I fix the stuff the engineers miss. LOL

Then, I'm sure you know how fast these particles are moving and that a larger diameter particle has more mass and has a sand-blasting effect (larger particles) over time on bearings and other surfaces?

And as soot/particles increase, there are times when 6-7 particles pass through the same tolerance at the same time. I will choose better filtration. You can advise your customers differently

IMO, passing right through a bearing does not necessarily mean no abrasive damage as it passes right through.

Where are you still getting 15w 40 at 12.97 a gal? I buy in bulk and still pay 10+ a gal.

If you watch for sales it happens quite a bit.

I recently bought 5 gallons (maximum allowed) of Mobil Delvac 1300 on sale at $12.99 a gallon. Mobil was also offering a rebate of $7 per gallon, so I ended up paying $6 per gallon.
Not bad at all for a quality oil.

True. Especially when you have millions of particles caught in turbulent flow moving faster than the bearing irself. The larger the particle, the more mass it has and collectively the more wear they create. Also, when filtering more particles, you reduce the total soot load allowing oil to flow better and freeing up dispersants to work on the smaller stuff that can't be filtered

Sam's Club has Shell Rotella T4 15W-40 on sale right now for $65.88 a case (case has 6 Gallons of oil). That's $10.98 a gallon which is cheaper than what I normally pay.

It's funny how some comment on how well their oil is or has done for them same with filters, do any of you have oil analysis to back that up?
