Now that your retired (congratulations) you need to try the wild side and take a 2nd generation with a nv4500 out for a long drive where you can wind the engine up on curves and fly on the straights ( with out worrying about if trans parts are going to be left on the road )!!! : )

good luck to you TE. I am on year 34 at my job, have one year and 2 months left in a delayed retirement plan. have fun.

Even though the majority of your posts did not apply to my application, I've enjoyed reading every single one. They've been accurate, direct to the point and simple to follow.

Enjoy your well deserved retirement.

It would still be nice to hear from you, once in a while, whether it's transmission related or not.

All the best.

My sentiments as well.

39 years at one company is becoming quite rare these days.

Bravo.

Congratulations ! Enjoy your hard earned and well deserved retirement. I am coming up on 4 years being retired, and I love every day of it. ENJOY !!

Too much valuable information to lose if TransEngineer just rides away into the sunset.

Like Stan Gozzi, I would love to have you write for the TDR in your second career.

Peer pressure from the membership, what do you guys think?

Ditto Bob4x4, are you out here and would like to add some fun money to the travel fund?

Peer pressure from the membership, we can't lose these two valuable contributors.

Bob, call me 404-226-6678.

Sam, I will.

Seriously, both gentlemen have had many of their post integrated into the magazine and I would welcome a quarterly write-in from them. Yep, those articles represent contract/paid writing.

Congratulations TE...you beat my 38 at Nalco. Not too many people left that put in these many years. Time for you to enjoy yourself and your family.

Unfortunately in today's global economy there are even fewer companies that stick around long enough to get 40 years in one place.
Different times for sure.

On a side note, did you work for Nalco the water treatment company? They treat the cooling water systems in the plant I work in.

I agree Trans Engineer and Bob 4x4 should do something besides going to bingo , old folk dances... .
They you the excuse they to write a article for The TDR.
When my dad retired he tried to do a regular job but he have that up.
He was a member of a men's group at church for many years (They did many things to raise money which they donate to the youth group or special projects the pastor wanted to do.
He even help start an IRS program to help people do their taxes that did not h know how do them or could not afford to them. He use to say I do more now than when I had job.

congratulations on your retirement. Hope you enjoy retirement as much as we have.

Yes I was thinking TransEngineer should write for the TDR. Bob 4X4 would also make a great writer and maybe Mike Wilson as well.
