You too huh. Kind of like saying the letter Oh when it should be zero. When the phone # is 809-7034 try using the Oh and let me know how that works out.

Even worse....the "could care less.." error basically makes the meaning the complete opposite of what is intended.

Sag,
. Apparently they have little respect for their customers and until enough of us complain they will continue to feed us BS.

EDIT - I don't expect them to fix all the car in a short period of time but at the very least, I would have expected that after a year the process would have been started which it has not.

Because you don't see the process has started has no bearing on the truth. The dealers do have an expected time for the pumps to begin showing up.The notices will be sent out in stages so as to make it a smother action. The majority of the trucks involved are still covered under the powertrain warranty. The pumps that fail are already being replaced.I am told the pumps that are currently being installed are of the new design.

I was at my local dealer yesterday inquiring about repair of a failed water pump when no parts are available. My parts counter personnel, whom I trust more than my local service personnel, said they are purchasing pumps from Napa and installing them. They will have customers with failed pumps return for the factory parts when available. At least they are taking care of failures.

I called RAM INFO 3 days ago and was told replacement for 2013-14 will start April and 2015 on up will start in May.

I always use the Honda dealer for our Pilot.
Without exception they've done honest work the first time. With my 10% senior discount,it's competitive with the independents.
What's Honda doing different than Ram?

Nothing! Just ask anybody that owns a Goldwing with transmission problems! Jim

The parts situation requires a parts manager to stay on his toes.Fca has a pretty good system that is based off dealer sales history, however the mgr must use the system correctly and be proactive noting trends and modify a bit for seasonal changes.
I stopped by the shop I retired from and my apprentice did his best to get me up to speed on a few current trends. He also had replaced a number of water pumps within the recall model windows and noted the design changes to the pumps he hs received of late. They did not have the recall part# of course as they have not been released yet.
Your dealer is breaking protocol by buying outside the system, that in turn will not allow the parts system to work correctly

Ok I’ve been noticing a slight smell of antifreeze and the coolant level has dropped a little so I called my dealer’s service manager to check on the recall.

This morning he and several other service managers were at a meeting/training session in Cincinnati, Ohio and Chrysler announced the new water pumps would start showing up at dealerships February 28.

Typically they send a batch to each dealer so I asked if he would put my name on one of the new pumps if he decided mine was one of the “bad” ones. He agreed

So I’ll swing by Monday for a diagnostic on my antifreeze smell.

I posted some time back in 17 that the eta was q2

Yup. I have been following and will be installing this before q2.
