Fuel Gauge Quit.

The fuel gauge on my 2012 3500 with 40,000 miles has quit working shows 1/4 of a tank of fuel. has any ideas on what is wrong?

The float is stuck.. give the tank a few good kicks when near E (Make sure its a good guess) or fill it up and see if it moves. Also WITech can command the gauge to see if its the float or gauge.
