And yes, you want it on a switch so the compressor doesn't come on while truck is parked and shut down.
I meant to clarify this, the switch is keyed power so compressor is off when the key is off regardless. I figured the switch would be a good plan in case something went wrong with the control, blew a bag, etc....shut the compressor down without any drama and keep on truckin'........
