And yes, you want it on a switch so the compressor doesn't come on while truck is parked and shut down.

I meant to clarify this, the switch is keyed power so compressor is off when the key is off regardless. I figured the switch would be a good plan in case something went wrong with the control, blew a bag, etc....shut the compressor down without any drama and keep on truckin'........

Mine has 3 and the largest one is none to large but the compressor they were using in 2013 fit nicely. Don't know if Airlift has changed their compressor size over the years.

I'm increasing the size of the compressor shortly, don't have air enough to properly control my air ride seats....need a solid 120 psi and a tank. Getting ready to pull the trigger and order one this week.

Where did you mount your compressor, Mike? Many seem to put it outside the frame rail, but I'd rather keep it better hidden.

Install it above the left front wheel well. there is plenty of empty space inside the fender.

I have the viair constant duty setup installed. works perfect and the whole set is with around 400$ not to expensive.

My third gen Mega has two compartments behind the rear seat, one long and the other short as I recall. Want to mount it in the shorter one which I think is the driver's side. Haven't been behind the seats since last fall and I can't remember for sure.

Don't do that my friend - I don't recommend to install any compressor inside the cabin. the noise will drive you nuts. especially with an airtank that thing runs for 5 minute till it shuts down.

So, on another thread I talked about powering the compressor via one of the OEM Aux Switches, and figured I would have to remember to turn it on, but I just re-watched a Ram Trucks video about programming them, and one of the selections is "last state", and if you leave the switch on it will still be on after a key cycle. Somebody at Ram apparently lives in the real world!

I have had that kit for quite a few years. I mainly bought it to air tires and the bags so we do not look like a pair of mexican jumping beans when the 5th wheel is not connected. Riding around with 80psi in tires and 45psi in bags is a rough ride with no load.

You can purchase the 3-circuit or 7- circuit weather-resistant fuse block from Geno's garage. This has 1 constant-hot and 2 ignition-hot circuits plus a 30 AMP relay. (See Page 7 of their latest catalog) This is what I use to control my air compressor that is mounted on my truck plus an auxiliary 12V plug for accessories such as phone and laptop.

Well, I started doing the install this afternoon. Used to be I could spend all day rolling around on a creeper, but it whips my butt now! Got some weird thing makes me dizzy when I get up and down, or tilt my head back. Reeeeeeeeally slows me down. Got the compressor and the manifold mounted, and started pulling wires. Hope I can wrap it up tomorrow.

Thanks for that. I got it wrapped up today, EXCEPT for right near the bags I want to secure the lines to the frame with exactly that. I actually went to the local O'Reillys and described them... very blank stare in response. LOL I figured it would be a long shot. There are actually empty 1/4" holes exactly where I need them.
