Assuming you know where the filter housing is located, it’s fairly simple. I always open the drain valve and let it run for a few seconds before screwing the top off. After you’ve taken the top off the housing, pull the filter out. When I pull the filter out, I put it into a Ziplock bag so fuel doesn’t get everywhere. Once the housing is empty, I wipe it out with a rag. Close the drain valve, insert new filter, replace the cover gasket and screw the cap back on. I then bump the key without starting the truck. You’ll hear the pump running. When the pump stops I bump it again. I’ll do this 4-5 times. Then turn the key and the truck should start.
