A closer look at 2019 U.S. auto sales

It would seem Yahoo reporting sucks when they state the following "Cummins produced the 5.0-liter V8 diesel solely for the Titan XD." Blue Bird clearly used the engine, and I doubt they bought them from scrapped Nissan pickups. Or if it's NOT the same engine, a good reporter might mention that there's a similar engine made by Cummins that is (seemingly) still for sale in Medium Duty trucks, based on the Cummins website.

Yes, it is still 2019. Here is another story about it. It appears the 5.0 is doomed. I guess we will know in 2020.

In part, is says this:

Nissan USA also announced the single-cab Titan body style will also be discontinued along with the diesel V8 in the facelifted 2020 Titan, while Cummins says it will cease to produce the ISV 5.0-litre V8 all together.

Since it was introduced back in 2013, rumours have surfaced that the ISV 5.0 V8 would also find its way into Toyota’s Tundra pick-up and heavy duty Ram trucks, but these applications never eventuated. It was also slated to go on to Cummins’s replacement ‘crate’ engine program alongside the 2.8 four-cylinder diesel, but those plans have also been scrapped.

I was on the midst of trying to decide what to buy in Oct of 2018. I was still riding my norton MC full time as my only vehicle. My 96 CD Ram was not behaving and I was not able to fix it due to health problems. I saw a pretty new CD titan at the electrical supply place and asked the owner of the truck. He expressed big disappointment especially with the fuel mileage.
So I started in earnest to try and find a regular cab-8ft bed-2WD Ram to replace my 96 2500. Nothing in New England!
Flew from Boston down to Kernersville NC to pick up my new (left over)17 Ram CD 3500. $36K work truck .
I've never been much of a Toyota enthusiast anyway.
Waaaay back all I had was my 73 Z-1. A buddy had the Norton Commando. I put it through some tight turns once. Excellent bike!
