So glad to see this Kneeling resolution

Funny you say that. That is exactly what it has done for the last 2 days, along with the cool weather and the wind, I have found it very difficult cupping the groin, crossing the legs and trying to walk all at the same time. No warm feeling going down the leg tho. Came close.
It probably would not be hard to track me down with the urinary tract pills that leave that bright orange tell tale trace.:D

Dave

LOL....I'm so happy that you are seeing the funny side of this.

I’m not Jewish, but......

Too bad you don’t have any snow on the ground, that would be pretty intense.:)

Yes it would, it's almost like a built in leak detector only everyone that saw me would know I have a blown head gasket:D. I guess the radiation destroys so much tissue etc. it is pretty much a must to use things like this with Naproxin or Ibuprofin to help while your immune system attempts to repair what it see's as damage.

FINALLY finished as of Thursday Jan. 3rd 2019. It's been a LONG road ending at 39 treatments. 2 more man killer shots starting at the end of April which will be a total of 4 over 2 years. PSA tests every 3 Months for 2 years starting at the beginning of April. So no real energy/stamina to come for at least another year with the man killer shots. I think the worst effects are the urinary tract burning caused by the frying of tissue a few weeks into the treatment along with the constant need to relieve. Doc say's the radiation will peak in about 2 weeks then the healing will begin. I eat those pills for urinary tract burning like candy and hopefully that will start subsiding since I am not being cooked all the time. The urination frequency has already starting to subside since I am not having to fill my bladder for the prep all the time. I have pretty much been home ridden with the constant urination and may actually be able to go out now that it is subsiding. I met a few others that were just beginning and having a real hard time with the prep side of things which is the worst part. The requirements for that are 17oz. (500cc's) minimum bladder, clean colon ( daily morning flushes) and no gas. I was taking Beano's every evening with dinner then up to 4 chewables in the morning for prep. 2 Naproxin or ibuprofin (250mg in morning and again at night) to help with the internal inflamation. So anyone needing to go thru this will have a good idea of what to expect which is what this thread has been all about.

Dave,
The hard part is now over. You have got it licked! With your positive outlook I bet you will beat the man killer treatments and have more energy than a bunny on steroids in short order.
Don't forget to take a moment with that wonderful wife of yours, give her a great big hug, look her straight in the eyes and let her how much you appreciate and love her. We will continue praying for your complete healing.

Update 11/13/19. Recieved what is suppose to be the last of the 4 6 month lupron shots.Have had 3 PSA tests since last radiation treatment. Tested at < .01 Phnx., < .07 Minot ND. and the most recent < .01 at Phnx. Have some energy spurts but longevity of those is still pretty short. I am able to do more (energy wise) but still deplete that rather quickly.

Up here in the North East there is only one choice see the Dr’s at Sloan Kennering ASAP!!!
My friend lost both his brothers to this. The local Dr overcooked him with radiation which caused other issues. After much pain and suffering he went to Sloan. That was ten years ago. He’s still with us and working every day today. Don’t waste time. Get in and see Sloan.

Dave,

I wanted to add I've got four friends how were diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and ALL 4 made full recoveries AND have been cancer free for years. You've got all the right support, including us here in the TDR to overcome this fully.

God bless you brother!

Your Pal, Ron
