Friends in the congregation... some of us have been on the TDR for years and know how many of us are. Take no offense to always, never, and the like... just like going through a buffet... take what you want and leave what you don't. Most of us are over 50 and not likely to change anyway. Even with all the differences, we share at least one common like... we all own the best trucks in America. But, all the traffic does make for amusing and entertaining reading.

Cheers, Ron

You are correct it makes for some amusing and entertaining reading for sure :D

" but the way you tell everyone to ALWAYS run TH/EB makes it sound like anyone who doesn't is doing it wrong..."

Well that's your interpretation of what i have in "my mind". I DO recommend doing so and have given my REASONS for doing so MANY times.

But for some reason on this topic you want to find fault in what "I" say just like another on here no matter the topic.

So please so I won't offend anyone else post the EXACT words "I" should use for running EB and TH all the time.

Here is my FIRST post on this thread.

"Start truck, push TowHaul/ExhaustBrake. Enjoy!"

YEP pretty darn disturbing post I must say. Yep yer an idiot if you don't do as I say.

Next post "Line pressures up and no flair shifts with TH on. Always in the correct gear."

And then this DOOZIE "My 68 shifted spot on no flair shifts and was always in the right gear and easily accelerated at any time. Same with my Dads 68 and my AISIN.

NO DEAD PEDAL. No idea why other than I ran the he!! out of it right out of the box.

ZERO over reving. Not even sure what that is.

One thing I agree with general driving around I get worse mileage. I don’t care! I like instant acceleration."

WOW really disturbing posts. Gave my reasons and did NOT tell anyone what to do.

Or Start truck, push ExhaustBrake, and if towing or you want it push TH. Like I said, not towing I push on off ramps a lot. My truck will not shift to 6th until over 65 with TH on. Around tow is turns more RPMs in a low gear than I like. YMMV

I like TH around town , if it’s a 40 mph speed , it holds 4th, 5th seems to lug to me at 40. Other then that I don’t care .

Simply push when you start the truck.

I have a few miles to drive on surface streets before I get to the freeway.... EB is too aggressive when you're on 25 to 35mph surface streets with stops every block or so. Like clockwork when I take my onramp I reach over and turn on EB.... And when I take my offramp, off goes EB.

Do you run TH? EB should not be that aggressive with TH off.

I see some folks are having hard time understanding simple instructions; climb in your Ram, push the round circle button, look at rpm, engine is running, now push tow/haul button, and then full exhaust brake, foot on brake, release parking brake move shift lever to drive put foot on the go pedal enjoy your day or night that's all folks!
