"New member since Monday and already critical...."

YEP! Seems to be going that way all too much! If ya don't like what someone says simply go to the next post, no need to be an AZZ-HAT.

Yeah we have options here for the new folks you can unwatch if you comment, and ignore and it all goes away quietly...

Be safe out there guys....

Timd32 thanks for the welcome!! Yes I was very critical and blunt in a not so nice way, I'm also sure Stuart and his family are great folks. Stuart I apologize for that and do hope you and yours are safe out there.
I'm sticking with the ebb and flow analogy, its been an interesting thread to say the least. There are things I disagree with for sure in the 1000 or so posts in this one..

No issues, trust me I've had my share of stuff I've posted on that I was too critical as well, it's not all roses and rainbows on my end.

But a sincere welcome lots of good stuff here.

Now with that said, I too have extensive knowledge in the realm of trucks (GM) and towing everything from small open utility trailers up to mobile suite park models.

Yes I am new to TDR but not the world, I have chosen to move over to the RAM line as they have stepped up their game in the recent models and in my opinion nothing else can hold a candle to these new trucks especially GM since they downgraded their interior and technology even more the last two model years.

No one that has just started to figure out what they want in a truck and especially the capabilities needed to tow their own trailers, needs to start hauling a large variety of TT's. I have seen to many "experienced" hot shot haulers make simple mistakes. As everyone here knows they all pull differently and adjustments are needed on the "fly" to get them to handle and tow safely. Unfortunately Stuart is just starting to get a handle on his own setup and has yet to get any substantial experience on what right feels like. With that said he sure doesn't have any experience with what severe pucker factor feels like and how to control it or get it back under control.

I applaud Stuart for getting out there and putting miles on his setup to figure it out and he's getting there, but to think he is capable of pulling in to Elkhart and taking the next thing out of the lot the dispatcher needs gone is a long ways away. I would be more acceptable if he was going to limit himself to pull behinds, but after getting to the weight distribution / anti sway posts last night to then skip to the end and see the final posts of Elkhart aspirations was laughable. It's possible that in the 20 pages I skipped that you guys were able to finally convince Stuart that weight distribution hitch's do not lift the rear of the truck off of the ground even if used improperly. Now how the trailer was loaded out may indeed have lightened and caused the rear of the truck to lift in certain road conditions.

That is MHO and Stuart I again apologize for being so crass in my initial responses.

He bought the new truck , and fifth wheel in his aviator . Then later on he went to transporting bumper pulls . Sounded like he got along okay , has some issues , gained some experience . Now he’s got a few miles towing a large fifth wheel , and bumper pulls. The only way Stuart is going to get experience is doing it , if there is another way I’m not familiar with it . We all had to start somewhere. I started with boats , then bumper pull trailers of different sorts , then fifth wheels . Like many I had a few missteps along the way . If not mistaken he started transporting the bumper pulls out of Elkhart

well guys you got to check out these massive travel trailers been pulling their cold vintages by Gulfstream I'm kidding they're not massive here's a picture one I'm now in Elkhart Indiana I was in Virginia then I went to Tampa Florida then I went to Ashland Kentucky then I came here to Elkhart Indiana I'm at the Elkhart Campground if anybody wants to stop by????

I already called the guys who fixed my last dent on the right side of the truck now I've already talked to them about doing this side and they said this actually might be a paintless dent repair maybe but he did say that the steel always wants to go back to its original shape however that helps????
I screwed up royally last night I made a turn with a travel trailer that was obviously a little too tight and I was very tired and yes you can see the result is that real usually will not happen with a fifth wheel but okay next time I will not try to maneuver in a hotel parking lot oh well my mistake least least I didn't damage the RV they would have fired me for that one????

That looks like it was hit with a baseball bat or something similar. I just can't see how any trailer could possibly hit right there. Did you hear it happen?
