I have the pucks and wouldn’t trade them for any other setup, but that’s with a long bed and I did do a reorganize of my gear to get rid of a full time toolbox on this truck. I also wouldn’t buy a short bed.
I did want more fuel so I added a Titan 55 gallon tank so that I didn’t lose any bed space and so far 55 gallons has been more than plenty.
It’s on my ‘18 too. I originally thought I would have to remove it but I’ve been able to store everything I need year round still. In the winter I add a small toolbox to the bed for chains, straps, and other stuff.
I have ratchet straps in the passenger side rear seat in floor compartment. In the drivers side in floor I have my spare fuses, bulbs, code reader, multi-meter etc. On the storage level under the rear seat backs, have the spare fuel filters, rain gear, hydraulic jack and a few other things. Under the drivers side seat I have flares, emergence survival kit and other small things. Someday I will do the mod that allows the rear CC seat backs to be folded forward, which gives a little more storage. Rear passenger side under seat area is full of sub-woofer. In the truck bed (under Bak-Flip cover) I have a tub of tools, star wrench, tow straps, a second hydraulic jack, hitch insert with 2" and 2 5/16" balls and some other things.
The CC seat mod involves unbolting the seat and space it up a bit or grinding the hook latch that holds the seat back from folding forward. When you lift the lower seat, you will see the seat back going up, however not high enough to clear the latch. So you space the seat up a bit or grind the hook shorter.
