For the last several months I've been having a couple of intermittent electrical problems.
The cruise control does not turn on some times.
The radio will not hook up to the phone to play podcast but will make calls

Any ideas about what is going on?

Have both batteries load tested that will tell there real condition. Now while you are at it check the cable from left to right battery look for corrosive the cross over cable as well, open the connection and look close. Older batteries in our diesel trucks due all sorts of strange things, good luck. ;)

And while checking the batterys, disconnect them both at the same time.
That does a hard reset to your trucks electronics, it's sometimes like with the computer at Home, a Reboot solves the problem.

This is why I love my old British cars. No computers. Two of them don't even have radios!

There is a TSB for faulty cruise control buttons, but I don’t recall it’s number.

Interesting, I am not driving my 15 for the Summer so I tried to ramp up the rpm's but no response from the cruise control buttons when running to keep the batteries charged. Had the system not work for a few days last winter.

You have been to the battery store with the 2015, right?

Got to love FCA and their intermittent electronics. My truck has done everything you described above . I did have some luck replacing the Cruise Controll switch. But the Radio and pairing with the phone some days it all works. Some not so much. Also the dash switches engine brake tow/ haul the same hit or miss. Even the dash display some days it shows all the information some days you have to ask it to only to have it go away as soon as you step on the brake or cancel the cruise setting. It’s all flash but like most Microsoft products when you really need them to work they stumble and forget to function.

Yeah they are charming, loved the cockpit in the old Midget, Smith gauges, easy as hell to pull the engine. Constantly replacing clutch slave cylinder, once a year like clockwork. Carbs impossible to keep tuned. Horrible suspension. Honda S2000 is a great compromise between new and old. 56,000 miles without a single repair or breakdown. I go thru tires pretty fast though! Changed brakes, oil, other fluids/filters. Thats it. I have a radio but I like to hear the engine so I dont use it much. Thing LOVES to Rev. I just love rear wheel drive. And the gearbox is spectacular.

However not built for taller people!

A girlfriend I had in 1976 had a 1976 bright yellow MG Midget... loved driving it... I installed an eight track tape deck under the drivers seat. The engine didnt like the catalytic converter and during the Summer it overheated. unless we turned the heater up all the way. It was great fun, we did everything in it:eek:, I was a lot more flexible back then. :D

Thanks for helping stir up those old wonderful memories. ;)

Cheers, Ron

Ron! One of the guys that working at service station with me in the early 60's with me got his GF PG is a AH Sprite!! I think he was more flexible also.
