Here's the instruction sheet- note the heading regarding ballasts:and which ones are those again?
Mike, now that you have had the lights for a while what's the opinion, cold weather operation ?.
Mike, I'm getting ready to get some more lights for the shop - still pleased with the HD no ballast tubes?
I recently bought 2 boxes of these:

I like this brand and I thought they might be good since you can use with or w/o a ballast.
What wasn't clear for to me on their website is that it can be used with a T8 ballast ONLY - not a T12 - oh well. Of course it can be used w/o a ballast too.
Seem to be nice and bright, no flicker. Haven't used with a ballast yet - have several older t12 that needed ballasts, so are slowly installing these bulbs.
Here's the ones I use- about half the price & have worked well for almost 2 years without trouble: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Va...mmable-Cool-White-48-inches-10-Pack/918657485I recently bought 2 boxes of these:
