I don't know if they track that in AZ, but they do in Utah, and I'm sure all the other states do as well.
Regardless of how well some people handle it, Flu deaths range from 12,000 to the worst case of 80,000 Americans per year. As it stands right now, the death toll in the US from COVID is 258,000 and climbing.....at record levels. It's a real concern.
Regarding accuracy of rapid tests, I could be wrong (I haven't researched it), but from what I have heard is they can give false negatives, because from what I have heard, you have to be absolutely riddled with the virus for the test to pick up on it. Therefore, if you test negative, you could still have it. If you test positive, you most certainly have it.
