Chrysler ‘ s always been a crap company with crap service but they had the bulletin proof Cummings..

So, apparently you were not around when they had the "Direct Connection" program, real mechanic's and parts people. They were a dying breed and no one new it. Like everything else these days, if it can't be done on a phone and maybe a computer if someone can figure out how to turn it on it can't be done because that requires thinking and knowledge. I have been pretty much my own warranty station and to this day I really do not want anyone touching my vehicle. Back to the original subject, you guy's are pretty much at the mercy of the Dealers and Chrysler/Fiat whatever. They are finally getting to the point the owner cannot do much of anything and they have been working their way there for a very long time.

Add in a critical tech shortage, parts that can be months on backorder and I learned very quickly what used to be a week, can be months for a fix. Customer service is gone folks, not just in automotive repair. Try getting support from on line mattress or e bike purchases. No body cares anymore. Its called don't call back or communicate and they will go away.

comrade - dont bother with either boulder or the dealer in golden either.... no one wants to do anything right anymore. sad to hear about the dealers in wy and longmont. longmont was going to be my next choice. scratch that! cheers - :)

If you are in the N Colorado area and need warranty or dealer work, go to the Fort Collins Truck and Fleet Ram service center, which is part of the Fort Collins Ram dealer. It's run very well by a man named Jesse. I have gone there many times for warranty work and repairs that were turned down by Longmont and Boulder, and never had a problem. That is the only place I will go now. None of the other dealers on the front range can compare.

Happy to help! Please note that it’s specifically the truck and fleet service center on mason st. It’s separate from the normal ram dealer, and separate location from the normal ram service center at the dealer. They mainly do fleet and oil field trucks but since they’re part of the dealer, they’ll do normal trucks too. You have to ask for them specifically when you call the dealership though, otherwise you get transferred to the normal service line.

I quoted Newsa, not you sir.

But I still haven’t seen anything posted about stats on Cummins CP4 failures other than this one report. I’m not convinced everyone is doomed who owns one yet. If it’s truly a problem, we’ll see a lot more of it and we’ll have a fix or workaround like we always have on the TDR. But this would have to be something FCA would need to stand up to and fix if it is a problem.
I have over 106.000 on my 2015 Eco Diesel no trouble I add out board oil to my fuel that lubes the pump

TWC3 Rated 2-Stroke oil... The synthetic low-ash Lucas 2-Stroke oil is the one you wanna burn if you can still add it without ruining expensive sensors or exhaust treatment system bits. I ran a quart of Lucas with every fill up on my 05 and 06... Religiously. Told a Ford buddy about it back then... He tried it and 12 years later he's still adding it to his F350. I'd run it in my 19' but then there's just too much going on post-turbo that something is gonna go wonky from do doubt. the 05' and 06' only had a kitty and the 06' had sanitary flanges welded on so I could drop it out and swap in the 2 foot straight pipe replacement section in about 5 minutes. Someone should do a resto-mod with a 2005/6 Ram and use a 2019+ interior. I had a 51' Willy's Overland truck back in the day... Had a LT1 4-bolt main small block Chevy punched .30 over with a Isky cam, Pete Jackson straight cut gear drive, Offy manifold and a Holley 750DP with Hooker Headers and $10 Cherry Bomb mufflers.... That was some fun stuff while it lasted until the stock 3 speed over/under transmission said "Are you kidding" and exploded.
