I like the LF9028 a lot, best if both worlds from what I see.
hey comrade AH - just curious if you know what the approx efficiency is on the fleetguard filter? i run those and just looked up the amsoil filter. looks like a very nice piece - and 99% efficiency. i have no idea why i just thought amsoil just made oils. thanks for the heads up on the different filters. cheers ! :)

AMZ/OIL outsources to Donaldson, Made in USA. The Stratapore is now Made in Mexico.

28mm = 1.102362

1-1/8" = 1.1250

29mm = 1.14732

So 1-1/8" is basically dead center of the two metric sizes. GOOD TO GO!!!

The bypass mount that I'm using has both spring pressure and orifice for the bypass filter. That was at lower oil pressure when idling, it may not go through the bypass allowing full flow. Once pressure can depress spring pressure, orifice allows about 10% of oil flow through bypass. The EAO90 filter is 600 hrs or 2 yrs and about the same height as the Stratapore that I use. It all comes down to personal preference on filters or filtering setup. Had the bypass setup that I was going to add to a 5.9 gas on my 1500 Ram when my 3500 fell into my lap for purchase. Since I already had it, why not!

This is getting interesting in a good way.
So, by adding the bypass system, that would by default be installing a relocation kit. How would this or could this interfere with warranty on a new truck?

Only if you install a dual remote system. A single remote filter takes oil from the oil filter housing and returns it to the oil fill cap.

Unless you damage something there are not any warranty issues.

comrades - i will be removing my mopar filter the dealer put on awhile back. warranty work....the video is long but pictures tell a lot. amsoil v fleetguard v mopar on 6.7/5.9. the narrator has a heavy accent, but you will get the point. just sharing this video i stumbled upon. thought you would find it interesting....cheers all. :)

Do ya think he's an Amsoil rep? :D

The Mopar is the base Fleetgaurd filter (not the Stratapore).

I'm not sure how accurate the statement is that the Amsoil filter is made in the USA, the last few Donaldson filters I bought were made in Mexico.
