Hey so I have a problem. I believe my transfer case is stuck in 4hi but I can shift it to 2wd no problem? I don’t have the vacuum motor at the CAD anymore I switched it to the summit pull cable which works awesome but to make sure I still pulled the plate off the axle and the sleeve was disengaged, but I can put my truck in 1st gear and jump out and see the front driveline turning and when I’m stopped I crawl under the truck and I can move the driveline freely so my mind is boggled. When driving I can’t get over 50mph cause it feels like the whole truck is gonna vibrate apart.
So I was hoping someone here may have an idea or a solution to my problem if so please help me out??? Last thing I wanna do is take it to a shop and get majorly screwed which is all too common around here!!!!

Might be the rear drive shaft, u-joints or carrier bearing. Need more info on your truck.

I just put all new u-joints and carrier bearing in a few months ago on rear driveline.. but I also wouldn’t think the rear drive line would have anything to do with the front driveline turning?

Well I have figured out it’s not my transfer case so now I have something grinding in my front axle but I removed the pumpkin faceplate and everything is good in there and everything turns freely. I jacked up the front end and spun the tires and again everything seems to spin freely so I’m at a lost I don’t know where else to check but I need to get this fixed cause it’s becoming a pain.

I was wonder if it could be a wheel bearing? I just put new bearings and all new hubs and steering parts in last January, so I wouldn’t think my wheel bearing would be going out but I guess there is a chance. So if your wheel bearing went out would it grind and vibrate once you got over 40 mph?
