Well, after checking with the good folks at Drive Shaft Specialist, unfortunately, they said that mine would be too long and it would not work. They said that I should install the mid-shaft bearing from like a 03, they were made different and they lasted much longer. So I just ordered, one and we will see. That was disappointing to hear that they can't make one that long.It was like 96" and they can only make up to a 92" I think he said. I guess we will see how a 03 bearing will work. Thanks for all of your answers and input.
That shows you the real pros, they know what works and what maybe not.

Gone is the growl
Gone is the phasing harmonics when accelerating on the freeway
Feels more planted into the pavement, a positive transfer of power to the ground

Of coarse this must mean I lowered my ET, ETG, and 60-0ft
and for sure I increased my MPG, HP, TQ, 1/4mi MPH o_O

All in all it is a great piece. I followed the measuring guidelines of flange to seal and the length was spot on. I was nervous because I have always measured from center cap to center cap. That's how I checked it before pulling the old one and it was perfect, they have it figured out so just do it like it says on the website.

How long was your shaft, end to end?

JRG,

Can you provide year, model and trans info?

And a little more explanation on the above acceleration issue.

I had a dry bearing sound at slow speed and when accelerating you could tell the DL was deflecting causing the u joints to be fighting each other because the angles were off, it was an oscillating feeling/sound.

How long was your shaft, end to end?

87 tip to tip
83.5 flange to seal
75.5 center cap to center cap

The shaft was like 96 1/4" i think. It is just a vibration that seems to be getting worst. I have had issues with midshaft bearings before, I and I do think it is the bearing or a u joint. I have been under the truck to inspect a little, nothing looked bad, of course you can't tell until you take the shaft out. I now have the three u joints, all I am waiting on is the center bearing. Then I will pull it out and have a look, and probably just replace all of them and the bearing, to eliminate that as the source. Thanks
