So, they’re going to have electric semi’s and school buses. Do we load them down with enough batteries to let them drive 600 miles and then see how much room they have for cargo?

Not the same but related.
On Airforums there has been extensive “discussion” about EV charging in campgrounds. A large group of the proponents feel they are owed the right to charge at a campground pedestal because they have already paid for it so why not.
I don’t think it’s a clear yes / no yet as to if ok but if I was an independent camp owner and my billing model was based on RV usage but not the additional EV charging I’d be posting no EV charging at the pedestal and if my service permitted an EV charging station would be considered but I’m not giving away power you somehow pay.

Many RV places have listed themselves as charging stations, so that tells me that they are okay with it.
Big difference between designed for it and offering charging vs just tapping into the pedestal.
A lot of RV campgrounds are marginal at best on electric anyway!
The FEDS announce sometime in the last month or so, that they were going to provide EV charging stations about every 50 miles or so. Guess who is footing the bill for this.
