Engine Stall After Acceleration

Just here to help. I’ve received a LOT of help here, so I’ve already been paid. I just want to give some back.

I posted in about 6 other forums and sights and have not got one response .you are a great group and great help.like I said I appreciate all of y'all's time and Help.
1more question just to be sure will the ecu off the 2 wheel drive work on my 4x4 or would it need reprogrammed. If the one I have don't work out. Pic is the 2 wheel drive truck I found.

The VIN would need to be programmed. But from the picture above you have the factory ECM from your truck already on the engine, just combined with the wrong harness.

If it wasn't compromised through the wrong harness connected it should start working once the harness and associated parts are exchanged.

But it's always good to have a spare at hand if needed.
 
Well, were you able to get all the parts you needed? Any progress?

Hello All I think I got everything I need slowly swapping it all out . I have a bad back so I can only do a little bit at a time. Old harness is out ,valve covers swapped out now I will start putting harness back in tomorrow I hope.
They reprogrammed the ecm to my vin# cause they won't awnser the phone,awnser messages,or the chat live so I could tell them not to do it.
If I still have the factory key I guess it should start once back together. I will let yall know, Thanks jack
 
Update, no start
Morning all ,so I changed out the harness, valve cover top and bottom, and gasket, battery cables, reflashed ecm,reprogrammed key and still no change. Security light flashing ,no milage showing, no gears showing on dash,fuel pump doesn't run either (security my guess)and obd2 has power but will not communicate, but the guy that programed the key used the obd2 por to program keys. He said he thinks ecm is bad.I would think the people who programed it would have noticed if it was bad.
Still 2 issues that I know security and obd2 no communication.
 
Any one have any ideas on how to turn off the security light or reset it somehow.
Could it possibly be a bad ecm.
And is obd2 controlled by ecm.

Body Computer is the main hub of the diagnostic system, but it is a decentralized system.
OBD2 is just the name for the plug under the dash and some basic network informations.
 
Here are some documents on that light it has a few modes of operation, at the very end there is a general statement.

Maybe read thru this and see how it flashes and when according to the description provided.

For proper diagnosis of the VTSS, the SKIS, the SKREEM, the CAN data bus, or the electronic message inputs to the instrument cluster that control the security indicator, a diagnostic scan tool is required.


Tried to grab some of the related stuff. Does not seem very easy to bypass this deal.

That SKREEM document at the bottom is also a good read.
