While it’s there I would shop for a good trickle charger. These trucks have a lot of parasitic draw when they are working properly. Mine gets plugged in when it’s parked for more than a couple days, especially in the winter.

I use the NOCO Genius 5. It’s temperature compensating, and stops charging when the battery hits 100% SOC, then starts charging again when battery voltage drops. Great for continued use without damaging the battery. I probably don’t need 5A, but I use it for other batteries too and like the faster charge times than a 1A or 2A.

Whatever you decide if you hardwire a pigtail to the batteries be sure to put the ground on the vehicle side of the IBS so the truck can monitor the charge from the trickle charger.
I did some quick searching and found this one. Looks like it’s meant for this exact application. Gonna order that up and install when I get it back. May try to run the cord parallel my block heater for easy plug ins.

Yes that’s what it’s for. I didn’t install mine on the truck, I use a 10’ extension and keep the charger on the wall near the plug in.

Just back feed through 7-way trailer connection. Been doing this with mine so that no other wire hanging and don't have to open the hood. JM2C

If I parked differently in my shop I would do this. It’s a better location for the charger to plug in by the hood for me.

I ended up buying two. One for my camper as well. It has solar which keeps the batteries charged but I currently have it covered with a crappy harbor freight tender on there. This will be nice to leave hardwired and installs.

Your 2022 has very good load shedding capabilities and should shut down most loads while the truck is shut off. You should be able to go several weeks with no problems, so there is an obvious problem with the truck now. Are you sure the prior owner didn't leave a key somewhere in the truck? Try starting it without your keys in the truck.
List the last six of the VIN and I can look and see if it has warranty history for the same problem.

I’ve tried and didn’t seem to have a key in the truck. No history of the issue. It has to be new. Not sure if it’s related to the uconnect or something else. Either way dealer has it now. Hoping they find a legit issue they can correct. I agree though. I go clomping off grid and the truck will sit for 4-6 days. I need it to start. I mean I usually always have friends and the camper has a generator but I don’t want to be in that situation.

Take this advice you should list the last 6, sag2 is a "High up" retired Chrysler guy take his offer for assistance.

Sag2 the last 6 of the vin are 198742
There was an air suspension module repair at 14 miles, probably while it was in dealer stock. It might just have been a flash. No other prior repairs except for a reflash for the Z20 recall at 4,500 miles. There is a note in the Z20 procedure that says the ABS module can be damaged if the flash is interrupted. Not saying that could be the cause, but since it was done a couple thousand miles before the batteries were replaced it might be a good place to start looking. Easy test would be to pull the fuse(es) for the ABS module and see if problem goes away.

Thanks for looking into this. When I hear from
The dealer I will mention this info.

Agreed. Mine is our puller and will sit for weeks between uses. I only have 800 mile on my 3 month old 22 Ltd Longhorn. Not much hauling to do this time of year. It was the same deal for my 18 Laramie. Both 2500 Cummins. I've never had an issue with the batteries running down. I'm at 26.15 on my uConnect 12" screen.

They do a great job of shutting most things down, but everything can’t shut all the way down with how they work.

Combine that with the low quality OEM batteries we get these days and a quality trickle charger is a cheap way to make your batteries last longer.

I’ll bet you get an OTA update notice for you radio when you get a few more miles out on it.

Sure nothing wrong with a trickle charger. I have a bunch of stuff plugged into them around here.

Looking at the NOCO Genius5, are you using a single channel on the 3500? I was thinking about getting the 3 channel version, then I can plug in my Chevelle and Can-am that are parked in the same space... Truck has been sitting for 3 weeks, no issues tho.
