Any new updates on the bolt situation ? How do I do a grid delete and not throw a code? I tried on my 04.5 and threw code. I live in SoCal no need for it. I never do the wait to start.

Leave the relay or Solenoid wires connected, follow the wire from the relay/Solenoid back to battery and disconnect at the battery. Don't wait to start....no codes!

If you don’t wait to start does the grid still energize after startup for any length of time till the engine gets to a certain temperature?

The cycling after start has never generated a code for me and others have reported the same.

Apparently the way it is monitored is different after start...or it may not be monitored at all after start.

sounds to me that the failures are possibly from sticky solenoid that ends up fusing together (relay) . I'm still going to do a disconnect.

Wondering if the warmer environment had something to do with no failures in his experience?

I have the up fitter buttons I wonder how much trouble it would be to make one of them activate the grids and only work when button was engaged.
