How long would you suggest letting it sit in nutural before I try to take off ?? Its been quite cold hear in Tampa so I want to do this right the first time so I can report back with accurate information. Thank youWhen you start it up cold and not having driven for a while do you put the trans in neutral and let idle for a bit? Stock transmission doesn't circulate fluid in park, it does in neutral. Try that and see if it changes the results.
You will likely pay about $1000-1200 for a stock TC R&R. If the pan shows no evidence of a lot of metal or clutch material and the fluid looks good you can likely replace the TC and be good for a long time. If you want to upgraded the TC to a better match for the engine then a Goerend 900/400 TC with a billet cover is good choice. That will cost you around a grand with R&R extra. What you will get for that investment is a much better TC that will actually put the power on the ground and enhance drivability.
It is always a choice to spend the $$ to upgrade and these trucks are not cheap. Depends on how you use it and depend on it.
O.k. thank you, I should be able to check it out tomorrow and report back, I am curious myself. Thanks again for all the helpShould not take more than 30 seconds to get fluid flowing and drain back issues. If you let it idle in neutral for 1 minute everything should be fine when it goes into gear.

I should consider using AAMCO because they are nation wide in case of an issue. Your thoughts please ??
should I just put in the stock/mopar replacement
Moving this to the Engine & Transmission forum.
O.k. thank you,With the 6.7 you'll have the 68RFE - or a manual transmission.
You can call Goerend for this but they'll probably tell you where to go as they are specialized in the 727 transmissions, not so much the newer ones.
I heard that Goerend works with RevMax for the newer transmissions.
That's fine mister moderator. thank you, but it looks like you have me on the 5.9 area ??
My truck is a 6.7 CTD
NO worries, with the help of all you guys hear, we will nail it down. I was able to locate the original window sticker, and as you all have said, the sticker says the 68RFE. So, now that we know that. What do you guys think about a remanufactured trans and be done? Thats if I can even find one. But before anything I will try to find a shop and as Ozymandias mentioned in post 28 to do a proper diagnostic from a pro. I really do appreciate everyone's suggestions, and again, this is way out of my league. Keep the suggestions coming. Thank you.Sorry about that. (fixed it)
Best of luck with your issue, hope you nail it down.
And this is why I wouldn’t be buying anything from them. If whatever he ran your VIN with didn’t tell him what transmission you have, he should’ve called a dealer and had them run it.what the guy at Florida Torque converter told me of his findings, according to him after running my VIN it showed either a AS68RC or the 68RFE,
