I have 2015 ram 2500 with 6.7 Cummins. Oil changes were a total messy pain in the a**. I bought an oil filter relocation kit from Pac Brake. Simple install and lo and behold the oil filter change mess was gone. I do not recall the cost but it is well worth it not to have all the aggravation and mess previously. Regarding Joe
Donnelly's method it seemed like a lot of extra effort, but whatever works for you.

I put the Amsoil dual filter mount under the passenger floor board. It has a full flow and a bypass on it. The bypass allows about 10% oil flow. Used 1/2" 2 wire hydraulic hose and then made a skid plate to protect the setup! Made a bracket to fasten the setup to the frame rail. On next oil change, will be putting a neoprene rubber spacer to help quiet it down a touch. The engine sounds travel through the hoses and mount. Doesn't bother me but the DW gives me that "look". I keep telling her it's a "truck" thing! :D Also not sure if I'll keep running the Amsoil bypass filter or just double up with the Stratapores. Extra oil capacity is main reason but extra filtration doesn't hurt either! Main thing is to keep the oil changed out with a good oil and done within requirements. I'll agree that oil changes are much simpler. It wasn't horrible through the wheel well and don't start with the through the top rant! Just get it done however you find works for you!
Edit: picture was before I change to hydraulic hoses. Those braided lines didn't go to well! Changed out for peace of mind!

Ran the dual setup on my 04.5 . A guy made a bracket with the hoses that bolted on to the exhaust manifold. Neat set up.

I did the single remote bypass on the 05, but haven’t bothered on the 6.7’s. I just don’t see the cost:benefit anymore. These motors don’t have oil issues and the Donaldson DBL7349 is superior to most filters, especially stock and Fleetguard. It’s a cheap and simple improvement.

I am running the Donaldson and the 15-40 AMZ/OIL for 15k on my 15 and Blackstone reports say to go longer. A friend runs 24k on his 13 and is backed up by Blackstone running same oil and filter. I see no need for a Bi-Pass setup.

Any idea who they use?

I haven’t had time to research or verify it yet, but it sounds like they now manufacture their own media.

I know that in recent years their ratings went from absolute at 15um to 100% at 20um, so I wonder if that’s when the change occurred.
