The rims of doome... Friend of mine had a truck in the workshop where the previous mechanic put the wheels on face to face and the alignment pin bending the inner rim flange.
Customer came into shop for a wobbly feel going down the road.

Yes, happened all the time back in the day, Dodge, Ford and Dexter used them.

Has aluminum rims on it now . Ran the aluminum rims on it for awhile before just trying to find a lug nut with the bulge instead of the taper . I think I found some on summit that might work

I don't understand, what bulge? Picture?

The 1st gen Dodge uses stud centric wheels. So how are you centering the inner dually? Even with the oem wheels, they centered crappy. Most axles had the centering pin but not all. You just had to pay attention. If you line up the hand holes (4) they are right, if not, they are wrong.

How do you know/identify that you have a 1st gen dually rear axle?

I think we have had this conversation before. If you have a 1st gen dually axle in your truck, the aluminum outer wheel will not match an oem inner. Nor will it match a 2nd gen hub centric wheel, if that is what the inner wheel is. Just exactly what is your inner wheel?

The 1st gen SRW or DRW is stud centric only. They do not use a machined hub front or rear.

The 2nd gen is both (hub or stud centric) on a SRW, hub centric only on a DRW rear, front can be either.

I know because it has 5/8 studs and it has inboard drums . So if the wheels don’t match how do you run aluminum rims ?

Well I ran it for a year the way it is Just was hoping I could find the other style of nut

Getting clear info out of you is like pulling chickens teeth:D

I still don't know what type nut you are talking about. Post a picture of the nut style you need and the face of the wheel. Also, the style nut you are currently using.

My Brain isn’t clear

this is what was originally used with these wheels. But I found some with a little bit larger flange that seem to fit the wheel better
