Did a search, but didn't find anything since 2022. Getting a new 2023 and am wondering if anyone has purchased the Maxcare warranty recently and approx. costs and term? I bought the 8 year, 85k mile one on my 2018 and it paid for itself even though I only have 36k on the truck now. New radio and oil leak from the timing cover cost more than the warranty. Anyway, I should get a bit of a refund since I'm ending the policy before it expires. If anyone has current information I'd like to be 'armed' when I get the new truck. Thanks in advance.

Maxcare is a great warranty. There are other reputable warranty vendors out there too. Fidelity Warranty Services is another one, who actually underwrite several vehicle manufacturer extended warranties, but they can get particular on where you bring the vehicle to (they prefer dealers that buy into the contract). I went with Fidelity on my truck because it was slightly cheaper than Maxcare, and I know people that have used it with no problems at my dealer.

I got maxcare 8/60 $200 deductible for $1550 somewhere in the midwest also . Will look next time I get in my truck.I don’t drive many miles normally in a year but almost have 20 k now in two years but that will drop off now. Took some major trips and wanted to see if I had a lemon which appears I don’t. Truck runs great

Going with a $200 deductible makes sense, because most bills will be expensive on these truck when something goes, but it's really lowers the price of the warranty if nothing bad were to occur to the truck.

Every single vehicle I've purchased, I've always needed an extended warranty. Paid for itself in multiple repairs. Maybe I'm just that "lucky" one...

Knock on wood, the EcoD is holding up.

I'll add, if that the issue crops back up in a few days, the deductible is waved. So say you get a CEL on, and you bring it in and they "fix it" you pay your deductible of $200, and you get in your vehicle and the next morning you start your truck up and the CEL pops back up, it won't cost you another $200 -- unless it is a totally different/unrelated problem from the initial diagnosis. It's also your responsibility to let them know ASAP so it's documented. Not wait till 3 months later as it's their word against yours.

In years prior, I don't know how many times I was told by the service writer to come back if the light comes back on.
