WIF light came on other morning, not even mile away from house, turned around, parked it at home. Truck didnt bog down in those few mins of going back home. Later in day, drained both filters, multiple times. Initial front filter had probably about a cup of water in it, maybe less? Subsequent drains mostly clear. Rear filter only trace amounts of water on first one. All good on subsequent drains. Cycled through drains about 6x's. 7th time..WIF light still comes on. Have not tried starting truck yet. Am afraid of repeat of last year where soon after picking up the truck from south Texas, it sat for couple weeks, then some heavy rain, had serious WIF issue and had to make insurance claim on the truck. Almost 30K to fix that last year.
Very strange that I had water in front filter and not the back. I always drain and check rear every few weeks, but not front. Now i will always be checking front also.
So there the truck sits until i figure what else to check and test before trying to start. Im new to diesels but learning quick. I see some have issues with the sensors, so i guess i will check that this wknd. I cant help but think ive been sold a very nice shiny lemon though lol.
Thots?
