I had the 67A recall done in Jan 2024. I'm in San Diego. CA. Today I received this letter asking me to participate in an OBD test program.

so I think I have this testing figured out. they wrote letters to people in Southern Cal. due to location of the independent test company. Here's a snapshot of a page off their website.

Sunday on my 2016 I got the message “service DEF system see dealer” according to my OBDLink Mx+ is was code P20E8.
Took it to the dealer. They did the 67A recall. Within 3 miles the code set again. The dealer went further and said it was the DEF pump. They summited it for warranty replacement. It was approved. They said if I have any more problems it will be approved on a case by case using the warranty provision the 67A has. (Up to 4yrs or 150,000 mile) I have had the truck 10 months and it only has 53,000 miles on it….The warranty extension is huge under the recall. In my opinion it is well worth it!

Just had the 67A recall done last week. Drove out to Colorado Springs this week and have the transmission hunting issue while on cruise control! Same issue I had when it was new which was fix with a TSB.

Things I’ve noticed after A67

towing not much if any difference, transmission shifting seems less aggressive, mileage not much if any

not towing mileage has gotten worse, about 2 mpg

the receipt they gave me mentioned a transmission software update.

I just had the update done and I'm not noticing any differences. I haven't towed yet so I don't know if it will diminish or eliminate the propensity to throw a P#2281 code like before at random points but I am hopeful. I think this is the first reflash that has been done on the truck since new (that I know of). I told the dealer that if I was going to agree to the update, I wanted all the accumulated upgrades they have come up with since the computer was last flashed. He said it would and did.
Funny thing was that the service advisor was unaware of any warranty extensions that would be associated with the A67 update. I showed him the letter posted by someone on here and he went and did his own research and found the same info so thank you guys...again!
