Looking for a couple items for my 2001 Quad Cab.
5FY27TL2AB Coat Hook Prefer new, BUT good used might work, looking for a pair
55351113AB Intermediate Steering Shaft (MUST BE NEW OEM DODGE)

Apparently both of the above items are no longer available via normal new channels, so hoping someone has some NOS stashed.

I appreciate the help, however best I can tell the coat hook and the intermediate shaft are unavailable from any online link including those listed. I have placed two orders now at the typical online resources and both came back unavailable. One of the two places I already tried ordering the steering shaft from was www.moparpartsgiant.com and they canceled my order due to not available.

I am more hopeful on the coat hook, as that message was on national backorder with no ETA, hoping that means what it says and not discontinued permanently, but with aftermarket making the intermediate shaft I think that may truly be unavailable from OEM forever.

Am I missing something you saw?

I was just assuming that if they were able to be put in the cart that they were available...

@Shelby Griggs , I see that you want a OEM intermediate steering shaft. Are you opposed to a Dorman steering shaft? I put a Dorman on my truck truck (20,000 miles ago) and it is built like the OEM shaft. I was impressed with the quality and so far it has performed well - smooth and no noises.

John, only reason I was skeptical of the Dorman is usually they have less than stellar quality, so glad to hear that may not be the case and is probably my option if OEM is unobtainium. In theory the Borgeson should be a good one, BUT have heard some issues with the attachment method and have heard of at least one coming off, that is simply not acceptable to a critical part like the steering wheel now having no control of the direction of travel!

I would assume that too, however I guess not the case. A lot of sites show unavailable, BUT not all, but turns out they just don't have current info on the order site.

I actually didn't see that your link for the coat hook took me to an actually order site, so if you had one for coat hooks I could try it.

I do appreciate any help or advice for coat hooks especially. Steering shafts there are a few in the aftermarket and right above John says he has good luck with the dorman and that is likely going to be what I do, but it never hurts to look for OEM :)

The hooks link is just Google search results showing numerous vendors of that part number.

Definitely NOT a Borgeson! It is horrible - about ten set screws that have to be monitored - a sticking slider assembly that puts axial forces on the set screws and loosens them. And, because the slider assembly is sticking, it makes the steering wheel turn like a driveshaft that is out of phase. I think you have read my post on the Borgeson I had on my truck.

The Dorman looks and behaves like the OEM steering shaft. I think you would be happy with it.

Thanks for additional comments John. I guess I say the Borgeson could be the better shaft due to implementing needle bearings, so much better joints, why they chose to make the attachment method so poor is beyond me. I think I have read your previous comments about them.
